Welcome to the HCA Healthcare USF Morsani College of Medicine GME Brandon Regional HospitalAddiction Medicine Fellowship. Our mission is to, above all else be dedicated to the care and improvement of human life. The goal of the Addiction Medicine Fellowship Program will be to educate fellows to provide exceptional, patient-centered care to the population in the communities we serve. This program will provide you with a combination of clinical, educational and real-world patient experiences to ensure that you are prepared for autonomous and team-oriented patient care. The Addiction Medicine Fellowship Program will prepare fellows to become independent practitioners in every aspect of patient care and following graduation from the program. Moreover, the program will ensure that it fosters an academic environment that promotes excellence in clinical care, research and lifelong learning.
Your training will focus on offering a continuum of care with several different levels of personalized treatments, including medical detox, inpatient rehab, and residential treatment. Our training sites include Brandon Regional Hospital and River Oaks Treatment Center.

Abbas Sina, MDProgram Director
Dr. Sina is a diplomat of the American Board of Internal Medicine, as well as the American Board of Addiction Medicine. Since 2012, he has been a member of the American Society of Addiction Medicine and the Florida Society of Addiction Medicine. Since 2012, Dr. Abbas Sina has treated those struggling with addiction in the Tampa area and beyond as the associate medical director of River Oaks Treatment Center. Prior to joining the River Oaks family, Sina spent nearly 20 years of his career as an ER doctor specializing in internal medicine.
Michael Murphy, MD, MPHAssociate Program Director
Dr Michael Murphy is a board certified in psychiatrist. He completed his medical school training at Harvard Medical School in Boston, Mass and completed his medical residency at Massachusetts General Hospital. He completed his psychiatry training at McLean Hospital. He currently serves as Executive Medical Director at River Oaks Treatment Center in Riverview, FL.

I chose this program because of the reputation that AAC and River Oaks have in addiction medicine. This program gives me an opportunity to work, and be trained by, individuals very well versed in all aspects surrounding addiction medicine.
