The District’s Media Philosophy

Bartow County School System assumes responsibility for maintaining a stimulating school environment in which children and youth are provided a breadth and variety of experiences calculated to motivate them toward physical, intellectual, emotional and social growth.  The program is based upon the realization that a student matures in each of these four areas of personality at a rate peculiar to himself.  It emphasizes the importance of making him/her “ready” for each new understanding or of extending a concept previously introduced.

Media Center Improvements (wish list)Although the way the media center is at it’s current state, the reading areas that exist could be made into a more welcoming area by adding live or faux greenery plants, lamps, rugs and additional furniture.

Add two more reading areas that are welcoming and comfortable for students and faculty to enjoy sitting and reading.

In the empty space, more computers should be set up to allow for students who are not part of a class to come in (instead of being turned away when a class is signed up for the library and the media center is at full capacity with using computers). Quotes through the district’s technology must be gotten for purchasing of new computers.
