Main mechanism of the ISDR System to sustain world-wide momentum to build the resilience of nations and communities to disasters.

Convened by the United Nations Under-Secretary-General for Humanitarian Affairs in his capacity as Chair of the ISDR System.

Two ways to contribute◦ Voluntary payment to offset carbon emissions associated

to travel from the region to the GP – focused mainly at organizations sponsoring travel

◦ Voluntary participation in offsetting activities in Thailand together with NGOs and CBOs – focused mainly at organizations and individuals who cannot pay

UNISDR role◦ UNISDR to make the link for direct payments to NGOs and

CBOs doing carbon offsetting work in Thailand◦ UNISDR to also acknowledge those who voluntary offset

travel through a sticker for their GP badges What is requested from IAP

◦ Agencies and individuals to contribute and participate
