• Conduct activities that stimulate awareness and interest.

Considerations:• Can the children experience the activity that

1. “EXPRESS YOURSELF!”

1) The teacher will makes several common face. E.g: Starts with angry, followed by sad, then end with smile.

2) This aims to catch the attention of the pupils, thus gain their interest to proceed with the learning process.

3) Then, ask the pupils if they have any idea about what you did before.

4) Starts to explain about facial expression and how it differs from one to another and what is the purpose.

5) Use several pictures that show facial expression.

6) Ask your pupils to make some facial expression that they love.

7) Divide your pupils into several groups (number of groups and members of each group depend on the number of pupils of that class.)

8)Then, each of them in that group must combine one adjective word with their facial expression.

E.g: Beautiful (smile face *without saying it). Scary (angry face *without saying it)9) Combine it to make a poem. One poem for

each group. Present it to the class.

How it suits the aesthetic development?

• Aesthetic is appreciation of beauty.• By conducting this type of activity, pupils will

learn:a) How to express themselves more vividly.b) Learn to combine words and turn them into

piece of art. E.g: poem.c) Their interaction among each other increase

since they work as a group and cooperation is needed.

• Learning about ourselves is a beauty itself.• It will help them to appreciate themselves

more as they know themselves more.

2. “BEAUTY OF NATURE”

1. Teacher will ask pupils, “what they know about nature?”

2. Teacher then explain the correct meaning of it to the pupils and also the examples for their better understanding.

3. Divide pupils into pair and distribute the picture cards. E.g: tree, flower, cat, dog etc.

4. Each pair has to create a simple poem based on the picture of that card.

• Pupils are given the freedom of expressing themselves through a simple free verse poem.

• It will give them an experience in creating their own poem.

• Help them in making connections between the beauty of the nature and express it into poem.

• Be flexible and let them choose how they want their poem to be.
