Louisiana Standards for Programs Serving Four-Year-Old Children

• In 2005, Louisiana developed Grade Level Expectations (GLEs) to further the define the Content Standards in all grades PreK to 12th

• In 2006, Louisiana developed the Comprehensive Curriculum for all grades PreK to 12th to provide teachers with lessons to address the GLEs

• Inclusion for All:Accommodations are provided with each area of development

Partial participation is acceptable for some children according to their abilities

Access Guide is being developed to accompany the Louisiana Comprehensive Curriculum

Voluntary rating evaluation for child care and Head Start

Screening for Social-Emotional Development

Training for all staff on both documents required for higher points on QRS
