BAF Accredited Abrasive Wheel Training:

All of our abrasive wheel training courses are accredited by the British Abrasives Federation.

This means that our course content has been checked by industry experts to ensure that what we are doing is accurate, up to date and fully compliant with Health & Safety Law.

Our instructors are machine operators they understand all aspects of cutting and grinding and also understand why things can go wrong.

We have over 10 different versions of our abrasive wheel training course to ensure that your training course covers the machine types that you use.

Course: TTSABW6

BAF Accredited Abrasive Wheel Training:

This BAF (British Abrasives Federation) accredited abrasive wheel course is suitable for operators of hand held grinders, angle grinders etc. and bench/pedestal grinders.

This course can be delivered on your site at a time and date that is convenient to you for a maximum of 12 trainees.

We can conduct a half day training course for the more experienced operators or a full days training for the less experienced or novice operators.

• The Need to Train and Statutory Requirements.

• Characteristics of an Abrasive Wheel and the Types.

• Marking of Abrasive Wheels.

• Speed.

• Hazards and Precautions to be taken.

• Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

• Storage & Handling.

• Inspection and Methods of Testing for Damage.

• Abrasive Wheel Machine Components.

• Kickback.

• Angle Grinder Safety.

• Bench & Pedestal Grinder Safety.

• Dressing & Truing.

• Guarding.

• Specific Mounting Procedures.

Course: TTSABW6

Course Requirements:

This course can be conducted on any site that has suitable facilities (power and seating), this course is for 1 to 12 trainees but we can train up to a maximum of 15 trainees.

When conducting the practical element of the training we use the customer’s equipment. It is the customers responsibility to ensure the equipment is suitable for its intended use, that is properly maintained and that all trainees are in possession of the correct PPE for the type of machine that they will be using.

On completion of the course you will receive a nationally recognised BAF accredited certificate and will have the attendees details entered on to the BAF national database.
