EXECUTIVE LEADERSHIP ACADEMY In partnership with Brandeis University’s Heller School for Social Policyand Management

PROGRAM OVERVIEWHealth care is undergoing enormous transformation. Never has the need for excellent leaders been more compelling. The Tufts University School of Medicine Executive Leadership Academy develops the competencies current and future leaders require to be successful in a challenging environment.

Developed by a group of highly successful senior leaders in Boston-area health care institutions, the Academy offers a combination of experiential learning grounded in theory and taught through a range of active learning modalities, including case studies, simulations, and team projects. The program focuses on team-based learning and is personalized through individualized assessment and executive coaching.

CURRICULUMThe curriculum focuses on various facets of leadership including:

ADMISSIONS CRITERIAThis program is designed primarily for senior-level aspiring and current leaders nominated by their institutions; however, self-nominated candidates with leadership potential will also be considered.

FACULTYCourses are led by experienced Brandeis University MBA faculty with expertise in educating health care leaders, and faculty, department chairs, and senior-level administrators from Tufts University School of Medicine and its affiliates, including Tufts Medical Center and Lahey Hospital and Medical Center.

TUITIONThe tuition is $5,500, including executive coaching and meals.

CONTINUING ED CREDITSThis activity has been approved for AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™.

This activity meets criteria of the Massachusetts Board of Registration in Medicine for four hours of Risk Management Credit.

SCHEDULEThe program begins with a three-day immersion, followed by two weekend (two-day) sessions. During a two-month break between sessions, participants complete readings and work on projects through online groups.

LOCATIONAll sessions will be held on Tufts’ Boston Health Sciences Campus, in the Dental School Tower at 1 Kneeland St. Validated parking is available in the Tufts Medical Center garage at 274 Tremont St. For participants needing overnight accommodations, discounted rates are available at nearby hotels.
