The Epiphany of the Lord January 7, 2018

JMJ

January 7, 2018 My Dearest Parish Family, God be with us always. A Blessed Feast of the Epiphany of the Lord to all of you. How was your first seven days of 2018? I do hope that it has been filled with wonderful moments with people who made it memorable. By that I do pray that it has been an acceptance and appreciation of the gifts of people around the table. We have celebrated the Feast of the Holy Family last week reminding us of the God’s wisdom of providing us a safe haven where we can experience nurturing love. Let us pray that we keep our families united in sincere concern with one another. This weekend we celebrate the Feast of Epiphany our liturgical celebrations reflect this revelation that the Good News is to be shared and proclaimed. This is not something new but time and again we need to be reminded so that we engage in our discipleship sincerely and with determination. We have in the first month of this year to participate in activities that strengthen our discipleship and witnessing. We have an opportunity to be filled with the Holy Spirit with Deacon Steve Greco in the Life in the Spirit Seminar on Saturday, January 20th. We also re-engage in our religious education activities for our children and youth who are the future of the Church. We will also be given a chance to participate in the Diocesan programs through the Annual PSA Appeal. We are going to be asked to dig deep in

our capacity to be generous and be willing to do our share. Life is indeed a call to be enriched and guided in our journey by uniting ourselves to the grace and love of God. When we pursue the mandate to be perfect as our heavenly Father is perfect then our pilgrimage towards this ideal is our witnessing to the Emmanuel who makes sure we will get if we believe, we trust and we love. God bless and take care. Love and prayers,

Fr. Thomas Paul K. Naval

P. Thomas Paul K. Naval

Foreign Currency and Tithing From time to time we receive foreign currency in our Sunday collection. Unfortunately, we are not able to deposit foreign monies with our bank. We dislike to throw away currency just because it is of no use to the parish when we know it has value elsewhere, so we ask you to please refrain from contributing with foreign coin. We appreciate our parishioner’s time, talent, and U.S. treasure!

Financial Statements In an effort to save the cost of postage, end of the year tax statements that are requested will be emailed to you or will be available for pick up in the Reception

¡Bodas Comunitarias!
