The JCG Diploma recognises the broader skills, qualities and attributes of students, beyond the academic. Many of these skills are exactly what employers are seeking. For many students, much of the content of the award is already something they do and this diploma simply acknowledges this.
JCG Diploma
The JCG Diploma will require students to complete a number of activities within 9 sections:
1. Elected advanced academic programme (A Levels) 2. Careers and employability skills 3. Healthy body, healthy mind 4. Commitment to sport, music or drama 5. Service 6. Finance/Numeracy 7. Opinion forming/global and local awareness 8. Computer literacy 9. Communication and presentation

• Employability seminars – Post 16 Options and Visiting Alumni
• Discussions with current Year 13 students• A level taster lessons• Options Evening • Morrisby Online Profile
Spring Term
• Individual Interviews • Employability Seminar – Preparing for Life
Beyond JCG• Option choices to Miss Lea – 10th February • A level choices confirmed by the end of the
spring term
Summer Term
• Study leave commences – 7th May• Year 12 Induction Day – Tuesday 28th June at
Town Hall • GCSE results day – Thursday 25th August• Confirm A level subjects – 2nd September• Start Year 12 – 5th September
