A Harvest Mentality
Message Thesis: In order to becomeeffective soul winners, we mustdevelop a harvest mentality.
Message objective: To understandthe condition of people without Christ.
Our Text:35 And Jesus went about all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing every sickness and every disease among the people. 36 But when he saw the multitudes, he was moved with compassion on them, because they fainted, and were scattered abroad, as sheep having no shepherd. 37 Then saith he unto his disciples, The harvest truly is plenteous, but the labourers are few; 38 Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he will send forth labourers into his harvest.

What is the harvest?
Naturally: The season for gathering crops.
Spiritually: A time to win the lost to Christ.
Hymn we shall come rejoicing bringing in the sheaves
Mentality
What does mentality have to do with harvest? How we see the lost will determine our interaction with them.
Luke 9:55-56: But he turned, and rebuked them, and said, Ye know not what manner of spirit ye are of. For the Son of man is not come to destroy men’s lives, but to save them.
