Scripture: Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God. ( Matt 5:9)

Catholic Social teaching focus: Peace (supported by solidarity, human dignity, care for creation, participation, the common good)

The Holy Spirit is at work through us. We are gifted with wisdom, understanding, wonder/ awe (fear of the Lord), counsel,

knowledge, fortitude, and piety (reverence).

Pope Francis: Today amid so much darkness, we need to see the light of hope and be men and women that bring hope to others. To protect creation, to protect every man and woman, to look upon them with tenderness and love, is to open up a horizon of hope.
