Every year, various outstanding a cappella groups from around the world are invited to perform at the Dinner. Together with the HKFYG’s very own Hong Kong Melody Maker, they share their talent and musicality to create an evening of great fun and joy.

�e a cappella Musical Dinner is an

annual fundraising event of the Federation. All proceeds go

towards the Federation’s continuing provision of diversi�ed and professional

services.

As part of the HKFYG Jockey Club Hong Kong International a cappella Festival, the performing groups also give concerts, master classes and workshops at local schools over the

months of March and April. At all these events, they will be supported by similar local ensembles, together sharing

their passion for this joyful genre of singing.

Fundraising Beneficiary: WL Residence

Upon completion of Urban Renewal Authority's renovation in mid August 2012, the HKFYG’s WL Residence, situated in old tenement buildings, supports young people between the ages of 18 to 24 year-old, who struggle with various familial and other issues and need temporary, transitional accommodation.

WL Residence also o�ers support services, including life skills covering employment and education possibilities; strengtheningpositive thinking and self-e�cacy and ultimately, nurturing the young people to set goals of a healthy lifestyle and positive life direction. Support is also rendered to them to improve family relationships so that they might live at home again.

�e utilisation rate of WL Residence has been 98%-100% since operations began, highlighting the need for short-term residential services for Hong Kong’s youth. From mid-December 2016, WL Residence expanded from providing accommodation for 15 male, to now provide space for 33 young men and women, so great is the demand. �ese types of services are only possible with support from the community, so that they might continue running.

�e Hong Kong Federation of Youth Groups (HKFYG) was founded in 1960 and is now the city’s largest youth service organisation. For the last 56 years, it has been commi�ed to serving the youth of Hong Kong through the provision of a variety of services, activities and programmes, which have an annual a�endance of over �ve million.
