Vector signal analysisToday’swide-bandwidth,vector-modulated(alsocalledcomplexordigitallymodulated),time-varyingsignalsbenefitgreatlyfromthecapa-bilitiesofFFTanalysisandotherDSPtechniques.Vectorsignalanalysisoffersfast,high-resolutionspectrummeasurements,demodulation,andadvancedtime-domainanalysis.Itisespeciallyusefulforcharacterizingburst,transient,ormodulatedsignalsusedincommunications,video,broadcast,radar,andultrasoundimagingapplications.
