God Made Everything God made plants, and God made trees.

Birds that fly and fish in the seas. God made the animals, from monkeys to bees.

God made you, and God made me.

In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. Genesis 1:1

A Note from Anika Chrishon: It brings me great joy to share the following creation activity book with you as you prepare for Creation Sabbath. Since April 2009, my family and I have been serving as missionaries in Gangwon-do, South Korea. This summer we had the opportunity to share God’s love through the story of creation during two English Bible School programs. By the grace of God, I was able to compile this activity book for use during these programs. Each day at Bible School, the children used these activity books, enjoyed an interactive creation slideshow, made creation arts & crafts, and played creation BINGO. As we shared the story of creation with the children, God was doing a special work of creation in the hearts of several program participants. At the conclusion of Bible School, four young people were baptized. Praise the Lord! Please feel free to contact me at [email protected] if you would like information about any of the creation activities we shared during Bible School. You can also contact me if you are interested in receiving a copy of our English Bible School mission report. It contains numerous pictures that will give you ideas as you prepare for Creation Sabbath. If you are interested in learning more about the creation slideshow, please visit our family’s website www.7daysofcreation.net. May God bless your efforts as you earnestly pray for and share this book with the children you love.

INTRODUCTION TO THE BIBLE

The Bible is God’s Word to us.

The Bible is full of true stories that give us special messages from God.

The very first book in the Bible is called Genesis, which means

“beginnings.”

In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.

GENESIS 1:1

GOD IS OUR CREATOR. God created all the children of the world.

God is three different Persons who are called the Godhead.

3 PERSONS OF THE GODHEAD: God, the Father * God, the Son (JESUS) * God, the Holy Spirit

INTRODUCTION to the 7 DAYS of CREATION Your parents love you. Before you were born, your parents spent time and money getting things ready for you. They wanted to make sure you would be happy in your new home, so they got your room ready, purchased diapers, clothes, toys and other things to ensure your comfort. On the day you were born they probably celebrated and told all of their family and friends about you. Your parents love you, and they tried to give you a happy home.

Your parents love you, but Jesus loves you even more than your parents! Jesus is the Creator of the heavens and the earth. Jesus is the Creator of you and me! Jesus loves us and before He created the first man and woman on earth, Adam and Eve, Jesus took 6 days to get everything ready for them.

Jesus gave Adam, Eve, you and me many good gifts to help them be happy and comfortable on earth. Day 1 Jesus gave us light so we could see our beautiful new home. Before Jesus said, “Let there be light” our world was dark. Day 2 Jesus gave us fresh air to breathe. Day 3 Jesus separated the waters and land and gave us green grass and trees, colorful flowers, and delicious foods to enjoy. Day 4 Jesus gave us the sun, moon, and stars to help us tell time. Days 5 Jesus created the fish and birds. Day 6 Jesus created gentle and tame

animals for us to enjoy. After Jesus got everything ready, He created Adam and Eve.

After Jesus created Adam and Eve, he gave them two very special gifts. The first gift was a beautiful home in the Garden of Eden. The second gift was day 7, the Sabbath. Day 7 was a very special day for Adam and Eve to enjoy the happy home that Jesus made for them. Day 7 was also a day to remind them that Jesus is created the world and everything in it in six days.

Just like Adam and Eve, we can take time on Day 7 to remember that Jesus made the whole world and everything in it in six days. Day 7, or Sabbath, is a special day for us to spend time with God and our family. Day 7 is also a special day to look at all the beautiful things Jesus created for us and thank Jesus for loving us, creating us, and making a happy home for us.

The stories in this book are based upon the Bible. As you read this book and do the activities, you will learn more about what Jesus did to show us His love and make us a happy home.

Jesus said I you, and He made a happy home.

God also made the stars.

God set them in the firmament of the heaven to give light on the earth, to govern over the day and night, and

birds of the air, the livestock, over all the earth, and over all the creatures that move along the ground."

God said, Let man have dominion over the fish of the sea, the fowl of the air, over the cattle, and over all the

earth, and over every creeping thing upon the earth.

So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them.

God blessed them, and said to them, “Be fruitful and increase in number; fill the earth and subdue it. Rule over the fish of the sea, the birds of the

air, and over every living creature that moves on the ground.”
