The Accelerated Teacher Certification Program (ATCP) is a state-approved comprehensive educator preparation program that trains individuals for Texas standard certification in elementary and secondary education.

Please note, all ATCP applicants must meet all entrance requirements, including the minimum of holding a bachelor's degree and grade point average requirement.

The Accelerated Teacher Certification Program has been approved by the HCC Foundation for the Workforce Scholarship to assist 20 qualified students with an $875 scholarship to use towards their tuition.

The Workforce Scholarship is open to all enrolled ATCP students and prospective ATCP students.

To apply for the Workforce Scholarship:

• Applicants must have a 2.5 GPA

• Must complete the scholarship application online at www.hccsfoundation.org/workforceschlp

• An essay is required

• Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) at fafsa.ed.gov

Scholarships are awarded on a first come, first serve basis, limited, and can only be applied towards the tuition.
