I Once Owned A Beautiful African Lion ICalled K.K. I love animals and have owneda variety of them as pets including a monkey, a zebra,a camel, llamas, a silver fox, horses…and yes, abeautiful lion. Lions have a presence and aura like noother animal I have ever been around. The lion is thesecond largest feline species, after the tiger. The malelion can be recognized by his mane and can weigh up to500 pounds. They need hot climates and hunt ingroups. In the wild, lions live up to 14 years. But, incaptivity, they can live up to 20 years. A male lionneeds about 15 pounds of meat a day for its diet. Intimes of desperation and hunger, they have beenknown to even attack elephants.

Lions are natural and instinctive predators. Theyare instinctive hunters and begin hunting at 3 monthsold. Yet, a lion is not born skilled. Only through failedexperience after failed experience does it becomeskilled. This is interesting…they do not become skilledat hunting until they are two years old or so. Think onthis. They are instinctive and natural hunters…buthave to practice it over and over and over to developthe skill for it! The Best Of The Best…Have To Work AtWhat Is Even Natural…To Get Good At It.

Lions Have A Secret Every Man Of GodNeeds To Learn. I am 61 years old and

Workers often complain about many things…butmake no effort to correct them. Few turn in amemo...to the manager to correct it. Refuse to ignore awrong that you see occurring. Confront it. Do you seea child abused? Report it. Do you see a gooddeed…unrewarded? Address it. Do you hear someonestain the good name of a good person? Stop it…immediately. This is Right. This is Integrity. This isGreatness.

The real proof of Loyalty is exposure of Disloyalty.Disloyalty can be hidden…for a Season.Loyalty cannot be hidden. Ever.True loyalty is so passionate, so obvious to

others…and its fragrance is undeniable. Loyalty is soobvious and known…that leaders never question thosewho are truly loyal. Loyalty is so energizing that itreveals quickly the presence of Disloyalty.

Identify Things In Yourself That NeverChange. I love to read. Magazines,newspapers, books, fiction, history, biographies. I loveknowledge…information…illustrations…and anythingthat is worthy of reading. That has never changed. Mylove for Change…has never changed!

Some things do change:Discoveries, Age and Opportunity guarantee your

pursuit of Changes. The design of my stationary? I likeit changed. My preference for colors has changed from

season to season. Some of the things I eat havechanged. Preferred colors in my interior decorating ofmy home…has changed. I like changes in my Website.

You must always differentiate between thosethings in you which have the most potential forchange…and that which is consistent. Why? Thosethings which never change in you…are secrets to yourAssignment, the problem you were created to solve whileyou are alive on the Earth.

Don’t Try To Make Me Happy—JustFollow My Instructions, Then I Will Be

Happy. Some years ago, I phoned my PersonalAssistant. I explained to her that a worker here at myhome had tried to change one of my instructions…for aspecific stain on a wood painting project. I requestedthat she search for a specific kind of stain for mygazebo and have someone bring it to me…here at myhome.

She replied, “I will do my very best to make youhappy today, Dr. Murdock.”

I replied, “You did not hear me. I did not ask youto make me happy. I don’t need you to make me happy.I simply gave you an instruction to locate a specifictype of stain for my gazebo painting project. I simplyneed you to follow my instruction. When you follow myinstructions, I am happy.”

Many employees who want their employer to behappy with what they chose to do…instead of doingexactly what their Boss instructed.

Quit wasting time trying to make others happy.Just follow an instruction, an employer will be happywith you. Consistently. Pleasuring others is a worthy

You Can Experience Many DifferentThingsWith The SameMoney. I received

a beautiful and large royalty check. So, I bought abeautiful boat. I got tired of the boat…so I sold it andbought a limousine…with the money. I became tired ofthe limousine. So, I sold it, took the money and boughtfour horses. I became weary of the expense and upkeepof the horses. So, I sold them… and invested the moneyin an exciting monkey. The monkey became a realburden to feed and keep. So, I sold the monkey. Withthe money I had spent on the monkey, I bought abeautiful zebra. The zebra was wild and attackedme…so I sold it…and bought a camel!

One of the greatest mistakes is attempting toaccumulate many things and sustain them all.

Your joy often comes through Experiences…notAccumulation.

You can buy a car…sell the car and buy anotherone! With the same money you can experience twodifferent feelings…! Keep things moving in yourlife…toward more experiences, different friendshipsand different knowledge.

Order In Environments Affects PeopleQuite Differently. My sister, Deborah,

made an interesting observation. She noted that whenher paperwork was neatly placed inside folders inside

her filing cabinet…she forgot about it. Neatness andorder around her sent her mind a message: nothingneeds attention, work or changing. She realized thather enthusiasm and energy to finish a project or createchanges…was unleashed when she saw stacks of workaround her everywhere…instead of a neat little stack.Her desire to solve a problem…was muted anddissolved in the presence of “Order.” She lovesOrder…but found the appearance of it brought death toher passion…to correct and solve problems.

If she walks into a home and everything is inplace, she has no desire to stay. Why? She sees afinished product…an environment without a need forattention and labor. She feels unneeded. You see, hercalling and Assignment is to create improvement andexcellence. So, she subconsciously wants to seek out aproblem...where she can bring change andimprovement.

Accusatory Tones…In Your Emails,Letters Or Conversation…Will Birth

Hostility. True, Disappointment aches for expression.Unfortunately, we often express our disappointment intones of accusation…compounding our problem.

Accusation authorizes a Defense.Everyone retaliates. Everyone. They simply

choose different ways…and different days…to do so.Accusation unleashes waves of Retaliation…that

will distract you, drain your energy, break your focusand ultimately suffocate every Seed of joy within you.

An Accusatory Tone…will turn a Trickle Probleminto a Tsunami.

Several years ago, I noticed a sarcastic and cynical

tone in the emails from my Assistants. I was puzzledat the sudden change in attitude. So, I reviewed mypersonal emails to them. I was stunned to recognizethat my own emails to them contained the sametone…accusatory. Their reactions were simply indefense from my subtle tones but obvious blamingthem for mistakes they had made.

Words are Seeds.Seeds Guarantee Harvests.

Albert Einstein Gave Us A MentorshipMoment Many Years Ago. Some months

ago, I made several snide remarks to a new propertyforeman regarding the slanted steps being put in by acontractor. To me, it was obvious that there was aslight slant…and it needed to be corrected.

When I talked about it later to the young manputting the platform/steps in…he explained that theslight tilt was to help the rain water run off…ratherthan gather.

I’d never thought about that. He was correct. Iwas wrong…and embarrassed for being so adamantabout my view…before hearing his. The Word of Godteaches us that fools answer a matter before they hearthe full account.

People always have a reason (right or wrong) fortheir conduct. Have you sought an explanation forit…from them? Dialogue Reveals What IntuitionCannot. It can birth remarkable and irreplaceableunderstanding. The famed scientist, Albert Einsteinstated that he refused to make statements of certainty.He felt too many unknown factors necessitated aLearner’s Stance. He gave his opinion with these entry

sentences: “From my present perspective, I feel thismay be the case…” or, “From my experiences so far, mypresent opinion is....” The Proof Of Humility Is TheWillingness To Listen…First.

Dylan, the famed singer, imprinted my mind manyyears ago with a song entitled, “You’ve Got To ServeSomebody.” You Can Only Be Promoted By SomeoneYou Have Served. The Quality Of Your ServanthoodDecides The Timing Of Your Promotion.

The Decisions Of Kings Are Decided ByInformation. Servants Decide What Kings Believe.Your Excellence Of Serving Others Will Decide TheVery Environment In Which You Serve.

An unforgettable Wisdom Key came from the lipsof a minister friend of mind: “The quickest way to theking’s quarters is through the servant’s chambers.”

The Willingness To Change Births TheAbility To Change. Millions want

change…without changing themselves. Changingyourself…is miraculous. It is an ability God withholdsfrom everyone except…the Person who is willing tochange.

Ruth is a perfect example. When she made thedecision to follow Naomi out of her own homecountry…she said that Naomi’s people would be herpeople. She is really saying, “Whatever you arecomfortable with, I will become comfortable with. I amwilling to adapt. I am willing to change. I am willing

Lion FactsThe term “King of the Beasts” is misleading because

a Lion will run from many creatures, including the elephantand the rhinoceros.

Lions are the most social of all the cats, living ingroups called “Prides.” There can be up to 40 members ina Pride with over half of them being cubs and young adults.Females will often stay with the Pride their entire life, whileyoung males are driven out.

The largest Lion on record was almost 11 feet longand weighed nearly 700 pounds.

A Lion’s average life span is 13 years but a Lionnamed “Nero” once lived to the ripe old age of 29 in a WestGerman zoo.

A Lion’s eyesight is five times better than a human’s,and it can hear prey that is more than a mile away. Usingtheir keen sense of smell, Lions can tell if prey is nearbyand even how long ago it was in the area. A captive Lioneats about 15 pounds of meat each day, but a wild Lionusually eats only twice a week.

The hunting grounds of a Pride of Lions can rangefrom 8 to 150 square miles. Lions rarely eat an entire kill.Hyenas and vultures finish the rest. It may take up to fourhours for a Pride of Lions to finish eating. A male Lion eatsfirst, even though the females actually catch the prey. Aftereating, a thirsty Lion may drink for as long as 20 minutes.

A female Lion is called a “Lioness.” Lionesses huntin groups. While one group of Lions drives the prey to acertain area, another group will wait to ambush theapproaching animals.

Other Lionesses in a Pride will “baby-sit” a mother’scubs while she goes off to hunt.

ALioness can run as fast as 35 mph for short distancesand can leap more than 30 feet.

There are only one-fourth the number of Lions inAfrica as there were just 40 years ago.

Even to the experienced eye,it appeared that the day was going to be quite dark.The Day was going to be very dreary, dismal and black.Yet,when she came back around, it had become verythin. The light had begun to show through.! Withinminutes…everything…everything had changed.

The distance between Victory and Chaos…theslenderest, slightest shadow…often appears to be ahuge thick cloud.

Understanding…is the difference between thechaos and victory.

Chaos can become Victory in a single moment.Imagine this for a moment. Walk into a dark

dreary room. With a single switch, you turn on thelights…the water fountain flowing cheerfully and themusic fills the air from your stereo. The Feelings YouWant Are Usually Just A Single Switch Away.

Your Mouth Is A Picture Of Your Heart.Your words are portraits. When I hear you

speak, I have photographs of the gallery of your mind.

Cursing reveals Disrespect towards God.Criticism reveals Envy of Achievements.Cynicism reveals your Failure to overcome

Disappointments.Your words are you. And, they are incredibly

important. So, when you speak, choose your wordscarefully because they truly reveal loyalty…disloyalty…truth…anger…sensitivity.

Your Mouth…Is A Picture Of Your Heart.

Access Is First A Reward, Then, AContinuous Test. Every time someone

allows you close to them, they expose themselves to apossible demand, request or instruction. LimitedAccess is necessary…to complete business transac-tions, delegate tasks to others and communicate yourpersonal desires. But, Continuous Access is a Gift.

Access authorizes another to assess your truevalue. It is an invitation to scrutinize you, evaluate youand even disqualify you for friendship, promotion orrecommendation.

Access is also an opportunity to reveal yourDifference, your Discerning capability, your Passionand the powerful presence of your Energy.

Access Reveals. This is why I consider it life’sgreatest gift to another.

Access is a Gift. And, a continuing Test.Continuous Access is a Reward…Proof of

Need…Portrait of Respect and The Opportunity toAffirm Agreement. Never…Never…Never TrivializeThis Irreplaceable Gift From Another.

One Small Match Can Destroy 10,000Trees. The news tonight on television

made me simply shake my head in disbelief.Thousands of beautiful trees were burned to theground. The scene was havoc. Gorgeous forests burnedinto ugly, ugly ashes. Why? A smoker had tossed hiscigarette. Someone had struck a match...a forest couldnot withstand a single match. Words are matches. Asingle word can forever destroy The Forest of a 20-yearmarriage.

A single word can ignite a rumor that wreckscredibility.

One destructive word can ignite a lifetime of pain,as one famous religious teacher shared on nationaltelevision one night. She overheard her mother tell afriend she didn’t understand why her daughter was sougly. The famous lady minister has never forgotten ituntil this day.

Words reveal our Character.Words reveal unhealed parts of our past.Someone once said, “Words are cheap.” Think

again.Words launch wars.Words create broken homes.Words crush hope.Words crush dreams.Words destroy credibility.Words can also unlock faith…dissipate

prejudice…and ignite new passion…unleash a river oflove…and impart the aroma of peace.

Every Garden Has A Snake. You Live InAn Adversarial Environment…Whether

You Discern It Or Not. Enemies usually win throughsurprise. The Greatest Weapon Of An Enemy IsSurprise. The United States discovered this with greatsorrow when Japan attacked our ships in Pearl Harbor,in the Hawaiian Islands.

I love animals. And, I am always intrigued by theanimals who are unguarded around other animals…while fearful of others. Sometimes, instincts are sokeen, a bad experience is unnecessary to verify anenemy. Trust Can Become A Trap.

I watched my ducks walk around the yardyesterday. They seemed calm. They were oblivious toso many potential dangers. A few feet away wereseveral of my dogs…that would gladly have rippedthem to pieces…had I not controlled them on a leash.

They are unaware of the dogs’ nature and desireto destroy them. My ducks were comfortable with me,contented around me…and assumed that my dogs onleashes were safe companions, too. They were not. Ihave often wondered why God did not advise Adam andEve about the presence of The Serpent, satan. Hesimply warned them about the loss Disobedience wouldcreate. Every Garden Has A Snake. It is your personalresponsibility to stay aware and guarded.

People Never Discuss The Things ThatTrouble Them Most. Contradictions in

our own nature greatly disturb us.Unspoken fears toward others remain unconfront-

ed, both in our own minds and in group discussions. It

is deeply puzzling to my own heart that so manyturbulent questions remain unaddressed within ourlives…forever.

Most discussions contain a little substance, littlepersuasion and quite limited usefulness. Why?Several possible reasons: Some questions can beanswered by The Holy Spirit alone…in eternity.Perhaps, The Answers would make a Successful Lifeappear impossible…and destroy our fantasy of Hope.It might be that our spoken questions may expose ourweakness, flaws and unseen demons in our nature.Asking those questions would create a loss of respect oradmiration from others. Truth Unpursued BecomesTruth Undiscovered. Thus hidden…The Non-Seeker isnever rewarded.

Ever.

He Was Worth 400 Million And Told MeHis Greatest Wealth Secret. Years ago,

If You Do Not Do What God Has Placed InYour Heart, You Will Eventually Do WhatSatan Has Planted In Your Flesh. Your Focus IsYour Master. Whatever keeps your attention hasbecome your master. Your Energy Is Your Seed For TheFuture You Desire. What has The Holy Spiritwhispered to Your Heart in the midnight hour? Whatdoes God talk to you about the most? Give yourself toit. Empty your heart toward it. Why? Energy requiresa focus.

If you do not do what God has placed in yourheart, you will eventually start doing what satan placesin your flesh.

If you are not performing your Assignment, youwill become adversarial to your Assignment. Jonah isa perfect example. God told him to go to Nineveh. Hedecides to go to Tarshish. He did the opposite of thecommand of God. Guilt is a force. Guilt searches forretaliation.

Nobody can stay neutral toward God. That’s whyatheists stay angry. I asked an atheist once, “Why areyou so angry about someone you believe does not evenexist?”
