Bernd Knaut
Josh Stead
The image above by Bernd Knaut is related to reconstrucBon because it is constructed as the vents show a secBon on reconstrucBon it uses bright colours such as the blue on the walls, it also used materials such as brick and metal for the pipe which appears to be a venBlaBon system.
Ross Racine
Josh Stead
The image above by Ross Racine relates to deconstrucBon as the image has been Constructed, it uses dull colours such as black and white. The picture appears to be taken From a birds eye view and it looks like rows of house.
Zarina Bhimji
Josh Stead
The image shown by Zarina Bhimji shows reconstrucBon as the papers have been Constucted together. They also use bright colours. The meaning behind the picture Is piled informaBon. The materials used are paper and elasBc bands to hold the paper Together.
EvaluaBon of Indian ink marble experiment
I created this Indian ink marble experiment by using pastels and scrapping 4 different colours across my paper to make a mulB-‐colored effect across my page then spreaded ink over the top of it, then scraped the majority of the ink off using a scalpel this made a nice effect. The colours that I used are all bright therefore they create a happy feeling and look like the colours of the rainbow. The piece of work also creates a loud effect due to the bright vibrant colours used.

Monoprint Tracey Emin The colours used by Tracey Emin in the image are very basic as it is black and white. The form of the image is solid as it uses a solid image over the top of a white background. Tracey uses thin lines over the top of the white background to create the image. The posiBon of the picture is central as the image is the middle of the background The texture of the image is grainy and muffled and appears to be distorted. The tone of the picture is light, there are no shadows used. The picture is drawn in a child like style. This presents us with a contradicBon, the naive lines used verses the subject ma?er of the print.
John C Thurbin Lino prinBng arBsts
The colours used in the image are black and white therefore they are very basic. The picture uses sharp lines which are also extremely smooth and straight. The image also contains a lot of lines for the background in black and white. The picture uses a dog shape then lines in the background. The dog is central as it is placed directly in the middle of the picture. John C Thurbin has created a smooth yet ridged effect on the image. The tone of the picture is black and white and there has been shades used to create shadow effects in the background. The dog in the picture appears to be ta?ooed which is a unique style used by the arBst which is showing an acBvity which is usually used on humans but on an animal. This maybe communicaBng that some animals have a personality of their own

Deconstruct/reconstruct Photographs John Stezaker
Josh Stead
I like the artwork by Stezaker as he modifies images of people which can also make his work look funny and jokey. I am going to be basing my work similar to Stezaker’s as I really like the look his pictures have, I will be combining several found photographs in a similar way
Marriage (Film Portrait Collage) XXXI by John Stezaker made in 2007. I like the way I can relate the name of the work to the image as its called ‘marriage’ you can picture that the man and the woman are married and Stezaker is bringing two people together in a picture. The photograph has been made by combining 2 portraits together.
This image by John Stezaker is called Blind I. It was made in 2006. I like the way it is a simple photo and not much has been changed but it creates a good effect. This photograph has been made by cuGng a small segment out of the picture then puGng it together. Stezaker has sliced the mans face through the eyes to make him apear ‘blind’ as the Btle states
PracBcal work in response of Stezaker
I created my own deconstruct/reconstruct photographs. I enjoyed the task as I thought it was fun to do and I felt that it was rewarding creaBng my own photograph. These photographs link to arBsts such as John Stezaker as I have used the same techniques as him. When looking at the pictures I think that people will find them funny which is what leads me to believe why they are so successful. Therefore I have used the same techniques as Stezaker such as humor and wit.

Discarded Analysis
Josh Stead
One of the words I chose for my final piece was ‘discarded’ for this work I Took pictures old computed parts which were no longer useful therefore they are discarded, in the snow. I then loaded the photos onto photoshop and made any necessary adjustments.

Discarded
• To get rid of someone or something which is no longer useful or desirable, also to throw away and reject
Josh Stead
Sara Ramo This image by Sara Ramo relates to the word discarded as it shows what appears to be an old oven which has been neglected for years. I also like the effect where it looks like the rocks are pouring out of the oven. The texture of the piece is rough due to the surface of the rocks.

Michael Beutler I can relate this image by Michael Beutler with the word discarded as the pathway in the image looks to be old an unused but Beutler has created a shelter over the path which brings it back to life and the bright colour brings life back to it. It also reminds me of an arc. The tone used for this piece of work is bright and vibrant as the yellow ‘roof’ really stands out and draws the viewers eye.
5 Point Plan
1. Take 15 photographs of related objects. 2. Create 5 mono prints 3. Create 3 collages with monoprints 4. Photograph to a larger scale onto large paper 5. Put collage on top of large photograph

EvaluaBon For my project I chose to explore the words discarded, memory and Bme. I looked into objects which I could relate to these words. For my independent theme I chose to research Sara Ramo and Michael Beutler they inspired me as I liked their ideas and their creaBvity and the unique style they use in their work. Aker researching the work of Sara Ramo it gave me the idea that I want to work with anBque products. Throughout the project I have experimented mainly with photography but also with image collaging as well. I think that photography was the must successful as I believe that some of the effects and filters I have used on my images have worked rather well. Overall I think my final outcome came out rather well and once mounted down had a professional look to it. In my work I have used bright and vibrant colours to create a warm and happy effect, in my photography work I have used effects such as HDR toning to create a cartoon effect to a photograph. If I had more Bme for this project I would be to edit the photographs I have taken further Photoshop and took more Bme to edit them.
