Gekko are committed to developing innovative products to the flooring industry, and are pleased to announce the launch of an industry leading water based adhesive for site forming applications – COVESTIKK.

Covestikk is unique in its class in that it is a fast curing water based adhesive, giving exceptional heat resistance and is fully guaranteed against plasticiser migration. See page 20 for details.

Also in our range, is our increasingly popular G67 water based tackifier, which gives all the benefits of our best seller G57, but is water based and gives an increased coverage. For large areas, G67 is the most effective way to tack a surface for laying of carpet tiles. See page 17 for details.

Throughout the coming months, we will be developing this unique technology, and are in the process of developing water based spray adhesive for bonding of wall coverings and LVT. Watch this space for further updates.

The Gekko G2 Gun makes installation easy. Its innovative dispenser head allows clean and precise adhesive application across the width of the cladding panel. Using the correct settings, no adhesive spills over and none is left uncovered. Amongst many other applications, this system is ideal for installation of hygienic wall cladding in sanitary and food preparation areas, laboratories and clean rooms. Compared to existing adhesive systems, there is no messy clean-up and the transfer of adhesive to other surfaces is easily avoided. Dispenser nozzles are disposable and come new with each box of adhesive. The nozzles are optimised to a width of 180mm to fit the dispensing head, but can easily be masked

if a narrower width spread of adhesive is required. Sachets of single-part adhesive mean no mixing and less wastage, without compromising strength. The sachets are quick and easy to load, without direct contact with the glue; leaving workspaces and operators clean.

As they are used, the sachets are compressed, so that empty sachets form small discs which are easily disposed of. Better still, we have optimised the adhesive sachet size, so that one sachet will cover a standard 3m x 1.5m PVC panel. This system ensures best yields and minimal waste, and makes it easy to calculate the right amount of adhesive for the job.

Gekko Spray System Features...

WAND GUN Using the wand spray gun enables the operator to apply the adhesive whilst standing up, thereby reducing operator fatigue.

SPRAY GUN Adjustable spray fan enables small areas to be covered with adhesive quickly and accurately, with minimal overspray.

CHOICE OF SPRAY GUNS

HOSE Hoses are available in 4m lengths, but an 8m hose is available for applying adhesive in larger areas. Hose not included with the adhesive.

CANISTER Large 22ltr pressurised canister attached to a spray gun via a hose means the adhesive is ready to be applied immediately without set up, cleaning or using external power sources.

Gekko G42 is a fast drying vinyl bonding contact adhesive system with a long open time and excellent heat resistance. Immediate permanent bonds can be achieved by double-sided applications onto most substrates. An added benefit to the system is that, unlike traditional contact adhesives, substrates bonded with Gekko G42 can be repositioned up to 10 minutes from application.

Gekko G51 Contact Adhesive is a fast drying contact adhesive which has been designed for bonding carpets to subfloors. Gekko G51 exhibits a fast drying contact adhesive system with a long open time and good heat resistance. Immediate permanent bonds can be achieved by double-sided applications onto most substrates. Gekko G51 has also been used for bonding wood, foams, fabrics, some plastics and many other porous and non-porous surfaces where a permanent bond is required.

The Gekko G52 spray adhesive is designed for the application of bonding carpets to subfloors. Gekko G52 exhibits a fast drying contact adhesive system with a long open time and good heat resistance. Immediate permanent bonds can be achieved by double-sided applications onto most substrates. The Gekko G52 adhesive system uses Co-Rez technology, a formula giving greater coverage but less overall weight per canister. Typically, G52 can cover as much as 20% more coverage than conventional canister contact adhesives.

Gekko G57 Tackifier Adhesive is a non-chlorinated, spray grade pressure sensitive flooring adhesive in a canister. Gekko G57 can be used for carpet tile and underlay tacking applications and exhibits an extremely fast tack off time as well as a long open time and high tack level. Gekko G57 is suitable for use on most common subfloors.

Gekko G67 Tackifier Adhesive is a water based, spray grade pressure sensitive flooring adhesive in a canister. KICK OFF WITH GEKKO

Offering substantial savings over purchasing items separately, the Gekko Kick Off Kit is a unique way of getting set up with everything you need to operate the spray canister adhesive system correctly. Included in the kit, is a spray gun, spray hose, pressure roller (if applicable) and a football or rugby ball.

The Gekko Professional Spray Gun is used for applying canister spray adhesives. Attached via a spray hose, this adhesive spray gun enables fast and accurate application of adhesive to the substrate.

Gekko G92 Solvent Cleaner is a solvent packaged in the canister system and is designed for cleaning guns and hoses which have been connected to G42, G50, G51, G52 and G57.

Gekko recommend that guns and hoses are cleaned out if the system is not being used for extended periods. Using the normal procedure of gun and hose disconnection and connection (see separate instructions), used guns and hoses can be connected to the G92 canister and flushed through to clean thoroughly.

Gekko G93 Solvent Cleaner is a solvent packaged in a 500ml aerosol can and is designed for cleaning overspray of G42, G50, G51, G52 and G57. G93 can also be used for cleaning off deposits which have built up on the spray tip of the gun.
