Located in a former warehouse district/Chinatown, the 2200 development repurposes an existing brick warehouse on site into a restaurant/ bar to host both residents and Dynamo fans. A grocery store is also located on the ground level to provide further convenience for the burgeoning neighborhood. Residences are located in the 2 large bridges overlooking the courtyards, providing breathtaking views for most units. Within walking distance to bars, groceries, and the new light rail, 2200 McKinney truly is “pitch perfect” living for Houston. It is therefore integral to actively involve residents in the circulation around the site and provide ample opportunity for them to engage in provided amentites. The courtyards then become a theater, where residents are encouraged to take to their balconies and take in the movement, activating the facades of the building. Offsite parking means forces people to walk the sidewalks, and potentially patronize local businesses.
