CIMAC Invites the Engine WorldThe Norwegian National CIMAC Committee has the pleasure of inviting you to the 26th CIMAC World Congress on Combustion Engines to be held in Bergen, Norway on 14th - 17th June 2010.

The CIMAC Congress is one of the most important international events in the fi eld of large diesel and gas engines, covering also turbine applications.

A traditional value of the CIMAC Congress is the high technical level of the sessions. This has been complemented over the past years by an intensive dialogue with users and the associated industry.

Strong international competition and stringent emission legislation result in increasing sophistication of the power systems while still the pressure is on better value for money, reliability and easier maintenance. Continuing change in the industry has brought varying degrees of environmental, safety, product liability and market constraints to each company and to each country. Many of these can be improved, prevented, reduced or even eliminated by concentrating on global communication.

The 26th CIMAC Congress in Bergen, Norway is organized to create this forum for users, such as ship-owners, power station and rail operators, suppliers, oil companies, scientists and classifi cation societies to meet with the manufacturers for an intensifi ed dialogue and for better mutual understanding

Congress ActivitiesThis 4-day Congress will offer state-of-the-art reports on engine technology and engine applications by experts. Programmes for accompanying partners and other social events will help in the renewing of personal contacts. Technical visits are scheduled for the fi fth day.

Technical ProgrammeThis offers the best opportunity to listen to more than 150 papers that deal with current and future topics related to piston engines and gas turbine development, design operation and especially user aspects.

ExhibitionThe Congress will be accompanied by an exhibition where companies and institutions can present their technologies and products. Please contact the Secretariat for further information.

Technical VisitsThe Congress is followed by visits to local industry on the Friday of the Congress week

Social EventsAn offi cial reception, gala dinner and traditional company receptions are scheduled for the evenings. Accompanying persons will be offered a wide choice of programmes during the session hours.
