Advance Program

Dear Colleagues,At the 26th International Symposium on Ce-ramics, we are excited to host another mem-orable scientific conference that focuses on the core traditions that made this symposium so special: treatment concepts, techniques, and technologies leading to the ultimate outcome in esthetic dentistry. These three elements are the foundation of clinical excel-lence. Master them, and you will become a superb clinician. We have gathered the finest clinicians and technicians available to share

with you their hard-earned skills, techniques, and choice of technologies and materials. Join us and gain the benefit of: Understanding esthetic and functional treatment planning: From small to medium to ex-

tensive, understand how to plan and execute a minimally invasive, adhesively based contem-porary treatment plan, which takes into consideration the multitude of parameters that may affect longevity and functionality.

Implementing adhesive esthetic innovations: What are the most practical and predictable protocols for adhesive restorations that facilitate user-friendly, large-scale procedures? What are the best protocols for handling the various tooth-colored biomaterials?

Learning how to emulate contemporary esthetics concepts: Execute direct, semidirect, and indirect procedures with an all-encompassing understanding of what inspiring esthetic outcomes should look like and what laboratory and/or chairside approaches are necessary to accomplish them.

Come join us for a celebration of professional growth, commitment to clinical excellence, and camaraderie, all under the roof of the newly renovated Sheraton San Diego. We look forward to greeting you in person in San Diego!

PRESYMPOSIUM SCHEDULE

Anatomy and Morphology: Internal Staining and Porcelain CarvingAlek Aronin, rdt

Supported by Kuraray Noritake

This two-part workshop demonstrates the fabrication of porcelain teeth with a full morphologic root using two different techniques. The first demo presents the one-bake technique using a variety of Noritake powders. Participants will study layers, temperature of the bake, porcelain carving, and texture finishing. The second demo presents the three-bake technique with a focus on two internal staining techniques, including surface and texture finishing. It also shows how to fabricate anatomical details like mamelons, craze lines, calcifications, and more.

Esthetic Materials for the Digital WorldJedediah J. Archibald, cdt, and Yuki Momma, rdt

Supported by Ivoclar Vivadent

The synergistic interaction between modern material systems, dig-ital technologies, and software developments have propelled enor-mous advancements in dentistry. Understanding the restorative materials available and the digital processes in which to produce optimal quality, strength, and esthetics is key to clinical success. This program emphasizes the shade concepts required for blend-ing the esthetics of layered and monolithic restorations using the next generation of all-ceramic materials. Additionally, digital work-flows for laboratory and clinical efficiency will be demonstrated.
