band music.
Middle and High School Summer Jazz (De Soto High School)
Grade Level: Students entering the 6th-8th grade & 9th-12th grade
Date: June 18-22 and/or June 25-29 (Students may sign up for one or two weeks)
Time: 10:00-11:00am
Cost: $35.00 per week
There will be two bands. One band is an introductory jazz course for middle school students,
and the other is for advanced musicians (high school) who play the traditional band instruments
and also those students who play piano, bass, guitar, and drum set. Students need to have one
year of classroom or private instruction to participate.
The music staff of the De Soto Public Schools is very interested in helping young students
develop their musical skills. It is important for students to continue with instruction and
supervised practice during the summer months if maximum musical growth and progress is to
occur.
Scholarships are available on a need basis. Please contact Mr. Foster.
De Soto High School is located at 35000 W. 91st Street, De Soto, KS 66018.
