• All orchestral excerpts, provided on the following pages; • Own choice work (e.g. a concerto movement or other appropriate solo work) that best

demonstrates your technical abilities and musicianship; • Technical work and sight-reading to the level of the ensemble. ORCHESTRAL EXCERPTS

• These should be the main focus of your audition, designed to assess your eligibility for the ensemble;

• Prepare all excerpts provided; • You are expected to observe all markings and instructions on the excerpts (including bowing,

dynamics, tempi etc); GENERAL INFORMATION

• Your audition will be unaccompanied; • Please arrive at least 15 minutes prior to your audition time; • Your audition will last approximately 7 to 10 minutes; • Due to time constraints, you may be asked to stop playing before you reach the end of your own

choice work; • Any audition requirements not prepared will result in an incomplete assessment of the

applicant’s suitability for the ensemble.
