Math club is a club that challenges students mathematically by allowing them to use logic and reasoning skills to approach a variety of problems. The club is modeled after the Math Olympiad program to help students be prepared to compete and represent McCleskey at the Middle School Math tournament.

In order to participate, students must complete an application, return teacher recommendation forms, and complete a technical and/or anchor tryout. Students are invited to apply during various times of the school year.

McCleskey Middle School’s robotics club works toward the FLL competition in early December. The competition requires students to program robots using the Lego computer software and construct robots to complete missions. The students also research topic problems and come up with solutions to these problems. Members of the robotics team also learn how to be more responsible, how to work with others, and sportsmanship.
