June 18 22 Park Avenue: Big Band Gold This swinging seventeen-piece band celebrates the Great American Songbook with a revue of Big Band classics from the 1930s to 1990s. June 19 Chico’s Vibe Feel the Vibe! This nine-piece orchestra with a four-man groovin’ horn section is the area’s premiere event band, playing the best hit party music from the ‘60s to present. Celebrate summer with inter- active sing-alongs. June 23 Blackbird Society Orchestra The Roaring ‘20s Roar Again! A historical journey through the Jazz Age, featuring the origins of jazz, blues, swing, and popular hits of a forgotten era. June 24 Matt Santry Band Fronted by a very talented singer-songwriter who loves big hooks, the band plays powerful pop and can really open up and jam. June 25 Eaglemania: Tribute to the Eagles Thrilling audiences by faithfully reproducing all of The Eagles’ greatest hits plus the best solo work of Don Henley, Glenn Frey and Joe Walsh. June 26 Philadelphia Songwriters Project: 2016 Winners Tour The four songwriting contest winners perform in a mini- summer tour. PSP is a non- profit that showcases talented area songwriters. Enjoy! July 10 The Original Orlons Philly’s own from Cameo Records had four Top Ten hits in the ‘60s – “South Street,” “Not Me,” “The Wah Watusi,” and “Don’t Hang Up.” July 13 Merion Concert Band The Merion Concert Band pre- sents contemporary and clas- sical concert band repertoire in a variety of styles. Nathan P. Snyder, Conductor. July 14 Forever Tina Capturing the image, energy, stage presence, dance moves, and voice of the great rock diva. Fantastic tribute to Tina Turner features 12 performers on stage. July 15 British Invasion Tribute More than The Beatles, this nos- talgic concert spans the entire ‘60s British Invasion era with songs by The Zombies, Dave Clark Five, The Rolling Stones, Herman’s Hermits, The Moody Blues, more. July 16 Upper Darby Summer Stage Shooting Stars High energy song and dance performance featuring exciting medleys from Broadway, Disney and Big Band. Includes previews from 3 Summer Stage shows. July 30 Pennsylvania Symphonic Winds Premiere wind ensemble of local musicians, both profes- sional and dedicated amateurs, who share a passion to create exceptional performances, diverse repertoire. July 31 The Rockdale Boys This tight five-piece bluegrass group gets toes tapping to fiddle, mandolin, banjo, guitar, bass and vocals. August 3 Bryn Mawr Mainliners Award-winning Barbershop chorus and quartets. Ever- changing repertoire features an assortment of family-friendly renditions of songs from past and present. August 4 The Rockafillys They rock, they roll, they chase those blues with swing and soul. Three fabulous babes singing Rockabilly, Swing, Blues & Twang in tight three-part harmony. August 5 Mind’s Eye View This local band performs high energy classic rock – all your favorite hits from the ‘60s to today. August 6 Lonnie Shields Band & Jesse Loewy Band An evening of soulful blues, funky grooves, and a tribute to B.B. King. A must-see show for Blues fans of all ages! August 7 The Plants! Catchy, creative music for the young and young at heart. Fun lyrics bring you into a world with intergalactic insects, and a snake who wears flip-flops and a “monster” under the bed. August 10 U.S. Army Field Band & Soldiers’ Chorus Classical and popular musical selections, choral arrangements, novelty numbers, military marches, and patriotic favorites. A grand performance for the entire family! August 11 Blackthorn This Philly favorite is a modern Celtic rock band that celebrates its Irish roots with a contempo- rary style all its own. Opening act: Two Morans at 7:00. August 12 Zydeco-A-Go-Go Creole, Zydeco and Cajun two-steps combine with funky New Orleans R&B into a spicy gumbo of irresistible Louisiana dance music. “Laissez Les Bon Temps Rouler!” August 13 Pure Harmony Three of the area’s best vocal harmony groups come together for a beautiful night of music.
