2016 Latino Education Summit Last week, the Ohio Latino Affairs Commission was proud to host its 4th annual
Latino Education Summit. The event convened nearly 200 teachers, administrators
and community leaders from across the state to foster dialogue on the challenges
and opportunities facing Ohio's Hispanic students. The full-day event featured
workshops, networking sessions, a panel, and an inspirational keynote speech
from Ohio Department of Education Interim Superintendent Dr. Lonny Rivera.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank all of our participants, presenters
and exhibitors. We are especially grateful to our event partners- The Ohio
Department of Education and the University of Toledo.
Next year's Latino Education Summit will be hosted at the University of Cincinnati.
