In commemorating the World Town Planning Day 2015, the MEC of KwaZulu-Natal Department of

as on ‘Urban Management: Confronting the challenges and seizing the

opportunities towards creating a liveable city’. These themes are inline the 3 day online

World Planning Day Celebration Conference which will be taking place as well

as the Climate Change Action Agenda.

At this session the MEC will also recognize the excellent work of planners

in the province through an awards ceremony for municipalities that have obtained the most credible IDPs for the 2015/2016 financial year, achievement from students in Planning Schools

as well as recognition of the role of Planners at Provincial & Local Government.

The celebration will also showcase initiatives from stakeholders related to

Climate Change and mitigation. Stakeholders who wish to exhibit at the

session are therefore requested indicate their intent by RSVP to Miss Thembeka Memela no later than

26 October 2015. Stakeholders are also requested to confirm their attendance

by RSVP to [email protected].
