4 2015 Executive Conference for Small and Mid-Size YMCAs

WELCOME

Dear Colleagues,

Welcome to Clearwater Beach, Florida!

We are excited to offer you a unique conference opportunity specifically designed for Small and Mid-Size Y executives. The 2015 Conference Planning Committee has worked to ensure you have a meaningful and fulfilling experience here and that you return home energized, revitalized and equipped to build upon the work you do to strengthen your community.

With this year’s speakers, workshops and networking opportunities, we hope the conference will help you Innovate, Strengthen and Connect. We recognize that as leaders you are challenged to improve your YMCAs through innovative processes and programs. We realize that to remain relevant you must strengthen the core of what has made and will continue to make the Y successful. We know that connecting with peers is tremendously beneficial to every YMCA executive.

In addition, this year we have the unique opportunity to welcome Kevin Washington to his new role as President and CEO of YMCA of the USA (Y-USA). This is one of Kevin’s first official functions since assuming the position, and we look forward to hearing from him during his keynote address Friday morning.

We are certain that the general sessions, workshops, exhibitors and networking opportunities at this conference will make it a rewarding experience. General Assembly returns in 2016, which means we won’t hold another Executive Conference for Small and Mid-Size YMCAs until 2017. Let’s make the most of our time this year in Clearwater. Thank you for your commitment to the Y, and we hope you enjoy this year’s conference.

Yours in the Y,

Kristin Irwin Chair, 2015 Conference Planning Committee CEO, Monroe Family YMCA (Michigan)
