The Challenger is a mid range sleeping bag which starts from 1- 2 season (average temperature 5° to 15ºC) up to 4 season rated (freezing to -5°C) . A mummy style sleeping bag with a wind resistant polyester rip-stop fabric shell and polyester lining. The Challanger range have a polyester 3D Microfi bre starting at 100gsm for the lightest bag all the way to 400gsm for the heaviest bag.

Deze slaapzakken zijn gevuld met hi-tech 3D Micro, een polyester microvezel die een fantastische isolatie biedt onder alle omstandigheden, waardoor de slaapzakken uit deze serie altijd hoge prestaties leveren, zelfs onder vochtige omstandigheden. The Phantom series is the heaviest in the range and is designed for cold weather use where temperatures average from freezing to -5°C. A mummy style synthetic sleeping bag all bags are fi lled with QXF 3D hollow fi bre polyester. They also feature a foot box, a 3D neck and inner security pocket.

HIGHLANDER BUNGEE

Highlander has been supporting Children for Cancer UK for a number of years through staff fund raising and taking part in challenges.

In November 2011, 6 staff members plunged towards the cold waters of the River Garry from the Highland Fling bungee jump platform. The platform sits under the Garry Bridge and is some 40 metres (131 feet) above the Pass of Killiecrankie at a site known as Soldier’s Leap. The team all jumped scared out of their wits and raised an astonishing £2000!

HIGHLANDER & THE BLACK WATCH MUSEUM

When people think of Highlander, they often conjure up an image of strong, fi t for purpose military equipment. As a Scottish family owned business, the Directors are keen to show support to external parties who have a tie in with the business. This is where the Black Watch Museum and Heritage come into play. Highlander has recently visited the Black Watch Museum and left with a strong impression and feels a close affi liation with heritage and knows how important Scotland’s oldest Highland Regiment has played in military history and what it has achieved for the Forces and Scotland to date.

HISTORY OF THE BLACK WATCH REGIMENT

The Black Watch Regiment is one of the British Army’s, if not the world’s, most famous fi ghting units. Along the way, The Black Watch collected an incredible 164 battle honours, 14 VCs and a reputation that places the Regiment in a category of its own. However, as part of the Government’s 2006 reorganisation of the Army, The Black Watch lost its Regimental status and became a Battalion within the new Royal Regiment of Scotland. Nevertheless, The Black Watch remains a force to be reckoned with in the British Army, serving in its latest theatre of war in Afghanistan currently.

THE MUSEUM AND THE COLLECTIONS

Balhousie Castle, home of The Black Watch Museum, sits in its own peaceful grounds close to the centre of Perth. The Museum houses unique and special collections, illustrating over two and a half centuries

THE BLACK WATCH HERITAGE APPEAL

The Black Watch Heritage Appeal was launched in September 2008. Its aim was to raise in excess of £3.2 million to provide a permanent and improved home for the Museum and archive in Perth, the historic centre of the Regimental recruiting area. The Trust plans to extend on the existing Castle and redevelop the Museum. See the Black Watch website for further details.

Baselayers

Climate X(applicable to Highlander baselayers)Climate X is a component manufactured by Highlander

Climate X 140(140 g/m²)

This is the lightest weight baselayer in the range and is constructed from ribbed polyester for comfort and warmth. It is an all season base layer, perfectly suited for any outdoor activity.


Our mid weight baselayer, it is constructed from 100% polyester in 3D Eagle Eye construction, for maximum wicking and breathability. The fl at lock seams are positioned away from areas such as the shoulders that are prone to pressure and abrasion, making them more comfortable and durable. This baselayer is fast wicking and anti-bacterial and is an ideal all year round baselayer suited most outdoor activities.


The Climate X 180 is a heavier weight baselayer which is made from 65% Bamboo, extremely soft to the touch as well as being a renewable resource. This baselayer is naturally anti-bacterial and odour resistant. Whilst having good wicking properties, this baselayer will keep you warm in the cold, and cool in the heat.

Bamboo (applicable to some of the Higlander baselayer range)

Bamboo is a natural material derived from Bamboo plant. It is chosen to produce clothing such as baselayers due to its naturalanti-bacterial properties, which allows moisture to be absorbed and passed away from the skin. Bamboo is also biodegradable.

Cordura

Cordura is the brand name for a collection of fabrics used in a wide array of products including luggage, backpacks, pants, military wear and performance apparel. Cordura fabrics are known for their durability and resistance to abrasions, tears and scuffs.

Durafl ex

Durafl ex is a high quality brand which produces durable and reliable buckles and accessories.

Hydrostatic HeadThis is the method in which fabrics are measured for their waterproofness. As standard an item should have minimum 1500mm to confi rm that it is fully waterproof. Tents and sleep systems will have a higher Hydrostatic Head e.g. 5000mm.

- To qualify for this Lifetime Warranty you simply need to retain proof or purchase. - Please attach your original receipt to this hangtag and keep it in safe place in the unlikely event that you need to make a claim in the future.- A failure to retain the original purchase receipt will invalidate the Lifetime Warranty; in this case the prevailing statutory guarantee will apply.- To qualify for the Lifetime Warranty your purchase must be reasonably maintained throughout its life using recommended cleaning procedures and treatments. - The Lifetime Warranty does not cover normal wear and tear; however, if it is possible we will repair worn components at a reasonable cost.- Damage to the product that is caused by negligence is not covered by the Lifetime Warranty.
