41-02 Automatic Filter.

Ramson's automatic filter 41-02 is one of Ramson's oldest products. Formerly called 4200, it was introduced in filtration systems in the 1960's. In the 50 years of it's operation it

has been developed and perfected to fit different industries, dependent on automatic filtration.

The 41-02 is made to work with your system, therefore it comes in a great variety in size and design. The housing can be manufactured in stainless steel (304L or 316L), or

basically any other material (like carbon steel). When operating the 41-02 works with 1 up to 7 strainer elements, wedge edge, that filtrates from 50 microns up to 1000 microns

(0,050 mm - 1 mm). The smaller 41-02 are made with DN40 flange connections, while our biggest operates with DN1000, which makes it adaptable for different flows.

The filter is delivered complete with control cabinet and automatics.

Automatic cleaning sequence.

The cleaning sequence, in the 41-02, is controlled by the control cabinet. The cabinet works after a predetermined time frequency/pressure difference, both adaptable for

needed filtration.

To clean strainers, the filter works with a back flow. When cleaning one of the movable strainer elements is put from "filter position" to "clean position", with pneumatics. At the

same time, a pneumatic cylinder, opens the back flush valve, creating a flow trough the inside of the strainer. This cleans the strainer and leads the unwanted media out through

the back flush valve. Thereafter the back flush vent is closed and the strainer goes back to "filter position".

To create the back flush the filter requires a flushing pressure of minimum 0,8 - 1,0 bars. The ideal flushing pressure is around 2,5 bars. If required flushing pressure is not

available, the flush media may be provided from a different source; an outside connection, a flush pump or compressed air over a hydrophore are some examples of solutions.

With the 41-02, which operates with several strainer elements, the cleaning sequence can be dealt differently, depending on the control cabinet. A control cabinet working after

a time frequency cleans all strainers, one after another. The cabinets working after pressure differences measures the pressure after each cleaned strainer and is satisfied

when pressure returns to predetermined level. This permits the filter to self clean less often then the first one. This makes it cheaper when running and more accurate.
