Explanation for Differences in Vote Credit & Votes Cast

Absentee: S VC = 56,606 V te Credit = 56,612 Explanation = 15 absentee ballots were treated as provisional ballots because of failure to include required identification. Those people were given vote credit but their ballot was not counted. 12 special district ballots were cast and are included in the SOVC number but we can not give credit to those people. 1 Federal Write-Tn Ballot Envelope was empty. The voter was given credit for voting, but there was no ballot to count. 2 absentee bal lots with votes for write-in candidates were not counted. A counting judge was mi taken on the process for write-in ballots. This was not discovered until after the counting had finished. We could not detennine which ballots had not been counted

Ea rl y Voting: SOYC= 18,817 V te Credit"" 18,820 Exp lanation:::: The assumption is that 2 voters at Centennial Hall and 1 voter at Chapel Hi lts had their machines time out and they were too embarrassed to ask for help so they simply walked away. Therefore, credit was given but they never cast their ballot. We can not identi fy who these voters are.

Po ll Place: SOVC = 97,944 V ote Credit = 97,887 Ex planation = 7 people were not registered or were cancelled status but the election jud es still issued them a ballot. Therefore, the vote was cast and counted but we could not give anybody credit for it. The other 50 are a combination of voters who failed to sign the poll book, etc .

Provisional: SOVC = 4,262 Vote Credit= 4,237 Explanation = 8 provisional ballots were ran through the AccuVote on Election Day. Duri.ng canvass we re ran them as provisional ballots. We were unable to give vote credit to those people because we could not identify who the ballot belonged to . 17 ballots that wer coded as rejected were accidentally cOL1nted. Those people did not recei ve vote cred it because they had a rejected code.
