Parallels Desktop for Mac.

Step one. Insert the CD or double click the downloaded dmg file to mount it.

Step two. Double click the Install Parallels Desktop icon.

Step three. Click Continue to begin the installation.





Step Four. Read the release notes then click the Continue button.




Step five. Read the software license agreement and click the Continue button.

Step six. You will then be asked to accept the agreement by clicking the Accept button.





Step seven. Click the Install button to begin installation on your primary hard drive. If youwould like to select a direct install location you can click the Change Install Location... button.

Step eight. You may be asked to enter your administrative username and password. Type thenclicks OK .







Step nine. Parallels will now install.

Step ten. Once installation has finished click the Close button.







Step eleven .The installation will have created and opened a Parallels folder in your applicationsfolder. Double click the Parallels Desktop icon.

Important steps:

1. If you’re using <Parallels Desktop for the first time, an Introduction window will appear.






2. On the Operating System Detection screen, select the Real CD/DVD-ROM Drive optionif you have Windows 7 burned to DVD (and make sure the disk is in your DVD drive).

3. The automatic detection will probably fail. From the Type: drop-down, select Windows.From the Version: drop-down; select Windows 7 (experimental). Click Continue.

4. From the Virtual Machine Type window, select Custom and then click Continue.




5. Choosing the Number of CPUs: will depend on your Mac. Opt for 1, which is always asafe bet. You’ll want to allocate at least 1GB (1024MB) of RAM for your VirtualMachine, as Windows 7 will run quite slowly if you set it any lower. Click Continue.







6. Select new image file on the Hard Disk Options screen, and once again click Continue.

7. Specify a size for your virtual hard drive, and select Expanding disk (recommended).




8. Select Shared Networking (Recommended) as the Networking Type and click Continue.




9. On the Optimization Options screen, select Virtual Machine (Recommended) Click Continue.







10.Finally, enter a name for your virtual machine.

11.Again, the same as in step #2, select Real CD/DVD-ROM Drive if you’ve burnedWindows 7 to DVD (and make sure it’s in your DVD drive) click done to begin theinstallation.




12. Disc inserted Press any key to boot from CD as instructed.




13. Windows is loading files.

15. Select Language, Time and currency format, Keyboard or Input method Click Next.



16. Click Install now.





17. Check box I accept the license terms and Click Next.

18. Select Custom (advanced).



19. By Default space allocated click Next.

25. Choose your desired user name or computer name and Click Next.



26. Password recommendation screen Click Next.

32. Press the Ctrl+Alt keyboard combo to release your mouse and keyboard from Parallels(Windows 7). From the Parallels Desktop menu, select Virtual Machine and from the drop-down

list, select Install Parallels Tools…



33. You’ll be presented with a description window of Parallels Tools. Review it (if you want)and then click Continue.

34. Back inside Windows 7, an AutoPlay window will appear. From it, click the Install ParallelsTools button.




35. The Parallels Tools installer will launch. It will install each of the parts of Parallels Tools,and can take several minutes. You might refresh your coffee at this point. .



Once Parallels Tools has installed, restart Windows 7
