When Not to Run

You should never exercise while you suffer from an acuteinfection—and a common cold is just that. Also stop exercisingif you have the flu, an intestinal upset or other virus disorders. Ifyou have a fever, wait until your temperature returns to normal. Then wait at least an additional 24 hours. Not before thenshould you resume exercise—and then at a slower pace than bef o r e y o u r i l l n e s s . , r ,

Do You Have Morton's Toe?

Many people have the condition known as Morton's Toe. It is acondition we are born with; the second toe is considerably longerthan the big toe. Runners who have Morton's Toe are oftensusceptible to various foot and lower-leg injuries. If you experience such ailments you may have to consult a physician orpodiatrist for help. You will also have to be especially careful inselecting running shoes.

Our 1984 track championships concluded in August with Tony Gal-fano and Cathy Wychunas emerging as winners in the open category andLinda Geppert and Carmelo Roldan victorious in masters' competition.

It was left to Pete Corsino to keep our eventual champion froma practical walkover. The two, tied after two events, battled downto the last evening with Tony pulling away slightly as the eventsbecame shorter. He eventually prevailed chalking up a 3380 pointtotal to 3110 for runner-up Pete.

The ladies competition saw only six entrants - three in each ofthe categories. In the open those three did participate in all events but one. Do You Have Morton's Toe?

Many people have the condition known as Morton's Toe. It is acondition we are born with; the second toe is considerably longerthan the big toe. Runners who have Morton's Toe are oftensusceptible to various foot and lower-leg injuries, if you experience such ailments you may have to consult a physician orpodiatrist for help. You will also have to be especially careful inselecting running shoes.

Our 1984 track championships concluded in August with Tony Gal-fano and Cathy Wychunas emerging as winners in the open category andLinda Geppert and Carmelo Roldan victorious in masters* competition.

Do You Have Morton's Toe?

Many people have the condition known as Morton's Toe. It is acondition we are born with: the second toe is considerably longerthan the big toe. Runners who have Morton's Toe are oftensusceptible to various foot and lower-leg injuries, if you experience such ailments you may have to consult a physician orpodiatrist for help. You will also have to be especially careful inselecting running shoes.
