Entrance: “CITY OF GOD” 1. Awake from your slumber! Arise from your sleep! A new day is dawning

for all those who weep. The people in darkness have seen a great light. The Lord of our longing has conquered the night. Refrain: Let us build the city of God. May our tears be turned into dancing. For the Lord, our light and our love,

has turned the night into day. 2. We are sons of the morning; we are daughters of day. The One who has loved us has brightened our way. The Lord of all kind-

ness has called us to be a light for his people to set their hearts free.

arise with your power and your strength. Christ in me pour out your blessing and healing. Christ in me arise and I shall rise with you.

1. Be now my vision; open these eyes, showing me all that I must see. Onward to the kingdom, you are the way. Arise in me and I shall rise with you. (refrain) 2. Be now my footsteps, leading the way, taking me where I must go. Onward to the kingdom, you are the way. Arise in me and I

shall rise with you. (refrain)

Communion: “ON EAGLES WINGS” 1. You who dwell in the shelter of the Lord, who abide in His shadow for life. Say to the Lord, "My refuge, my rock in whom I

trust." Refrain: And He will raise you up on eagle's wings, bear you on the breath of dawn, make you to shine like the sun,

and hold you in the palm of His Hand. 2. The snare of the fowler will never capture you, and famine will bring you no fear under His Wings your refuge, his faithfulness

your shield.

“SHELTER ME, O GOD” Refrain: Shelter me o God, hide me in the shadow of your wings. You alone, are my hope. 1. When my foes surround me, set me high above their reach, hear me when I call your name. (refrain) 2. As a mother gathers her young beneath her care, gather me into your arms.

mountain high. Sing a new song unto the Lord singing alleluia. 1. 1. Yahweh's people dance for joy, O come before the Lord, and play for him on glad tamborines and let your trumpet sound

Our patron fiestas were a blast! For the first time, Divine Saviour and St. Ann had their patron feast with a solemn procession, music, Rosary and Holy

Eucharist. Thanks a million for all your prayers, enthusiasm and support. At St. Ann, I would like to thank all the communities: Vietnamese, Thai, Filipino, Hispanic and English for the participation in the procession, mass and the entertainment. At Divine Saviour I want to thank all El Salvadorian volunteers and Mariachi for your contribution. You all made this day very memorable! May the Lord and the mother of the mother of Christ protect us and watch over us. This week’s scripture reveals that Prophets have always had a tough road to take. Their words, often unwelcome, are used against them to persecute and even kill them. Such was the fate of the Old Testament prophets, and Jeremiah is a great example of this. Jesus endured opposition from sinners, and did not turn back from a shameful death in order to rise to a glorious new life. The ultimate prophet, Jesus sought to warn the people of his time and ours of the divisions that his words would cause, showing himself to be the prophet of all time. We all need to look at our divisions and dilemmas in light of Jesus teachings and warnings, seek to understand all that he has proclaimed and taught about what will happen if we fail to listen.

Our Youth Ministry group would like to thank all the Parishion-ers who supported their fundraising all year with Krispy Kreme that made it possible for 13 teens to attend City of Saints Teen Conference at UCLA. It was a wonderful experience with 1800 teens from across the Archdiocese. Keep praying for our youth!
