About Trecora Chemical

Trecora Chemical, Inc. is a custom chemical processor

and specialty chemical manufacturer strategically located

in Pasadena, Texas. We provide toll manufacturing,

distillation, blending, forming and packaging of finished

and intermediate products and wax products for

coatings, hot melt adhesives and lubricants, as well as

custom-manufactured polymers for industrial clients.

Situated near the Houston Ship Channel, our facility

allows for easy access to international shipping and direct

loading to rail or truck. Our technical and production

staff works directly with our clients to evaluate projects

and provide cost-efficient manufacturing solutions. We

will do whatever it takes to ensure a successful project as

an extension of your supply chain.

History

Trecora Chemical, Inc. was originally established in

September 1989 as Chusei (U.S.A.) a wholly owned

subsidiary of Chusei Oil Company, Ltd., a privately held

company with headquarters in Okayama, Japan. Chusei

Oil Company has nearly 100 years of experience in both

the consumer and industrial sectors.

In July 2010, Chusei Oil sold Chusei (U.S.A.) to Schumann

Steier Holding. The company was renamed SSI Chusei

Inc. In October 2014, Schumann Steier Holding sold SSI

Chusei Inc. to Trecora Resources Inc. The new company

name is now Trecora Chemical, Inc. The acquisition by

Trecora Resources Inc. brings significant resources to

Trecora Chemical, Inc. including sales, marketing, technology

and financial resources. Trecora Resources also owns an

additional plant, South Hampton Resources Inc. situated near

Beaumont Texas. South Hampton Resources is a world

leader in high purity pentane and hexane production

as well as large scale dedicated toll manufacturing.

POLYMER PRODUCTSTrecora Chemical, Inc. manufactures a variety of

hard, high melting point, low to medium viscosity

polyethylene wax products derived from HDPE resins.

These products can be used in a variety of applications

such as performance additives for hot melt adhesives;

penetration and melting point modifiers for paraffin and

microcrystalline waxes; lubrication and processing aids for

plastics, PVC and rubber; and dry stir-in additives for inks.

In oxidized form, applications for CWP polyethylene wax

include use in textile emulsions, as the wax portion of

polish formulations, and as a lubricant in PVC extrusion.

ServicesTOLL CHEMICAL PROCESSINGTrecora Chemical, Inc. has the capability to provide

turnkey toll chemical processing including quality assurance,

transportation and process optimization. We have a highly

trained, technically proficient team suited to handle R&D

projects, process development, build-to-suit and support for

rapid turnaround for projects. We also strive to offer our

clients flexibility in the processing of streams including:

• Toll processing of a feed stream where all the

components are returned to the owner.

• Toll processing of a feed stream where all or part of the

stream is sold and remaining components are returned

to the owner.

• Brokerage of chemical streams.

We are located near the Port of Houston and we have

our own rail terminal on our grounds, convenient for

exporting products to South America, Europe and Asia.

Process Capabilities

Our experience base in toll manufacturing allows Trecora

Chemical, Inc. to provide clients with full toll capability for

liquid, molten and solid materials in a variety of technologies

in an ISO 9001-compliant manufacturing facility.

• Capable of receiving railroad tank car shipments for

further production or distribution.

• Reaction capabilities include alkoxylation, esterification,

oxidation, dehydration, saponification, hydrogenation,

maleation to list a few. Continuous and batch processing.

Oligomerization and polymerization reactions with

various hydrocarbon and oxygenate feedstocks.

• We are uniquely suited to handle high melt point

materials.

• Molten to solid formation. Packaging in bags,

supersacks, drums or other containers.

• Vacuum distillation of high boiling point and

temperature sensitive materials.

• Liquid polymer blending, including addition of fillers,

processing aids and stabilizers.

• Storage of volatile raw materials requiring cryogenic

conditions.

• Storage and handling of metal alkyls.
