Pay $7.50 for a Week of Discovery Day Camp!To celebrate 100 years of YMCA Camp in Dane County, we’re giving away a week of Discovery Day Camp to 10 lucky campers for 1921’s price of $7.50! Here’s how it works:

• Campers must register for Discovery Day Camp during the month of March in 2021 to be eligible.• 10 winners will be chosen in a random drawing of all eligible registrants.• Winners will be notified by the YMCA.• Eligible campers can only win one time over the duration of 2021 Summer Camp.• The 10 lucky winners will each pay $7.50 for one week of Discovery Day Camp during the summer of 2021!

We focus on developing the potential of every camper while creating a warm and nurturing environment where all can play, challenge themselves and make friends.

Typical Day at Y CampEvery day of camp is unique, with exciting new adventures, challenges and opportunities. Here’s a snapshot of an average day:

Camp Information• For your convenience, pay weekly via

bank draft from a savings or checking account or with Discover®, American Express®, Visa® or Master Card®.

• Each week of camp must be paid in full two weeks prior to start date.

• There is a $25 registration fee per child per program.

• A $10 per week deposit is applied to the weekly fee. Deposits are forfeited when a week is canceled.

• Registration fees and deposits are NON-REFUNDABLE, NON-TRANSFERABLE and due at registration.

• There is a $20 charge for schedule changes.

• Registrants with outstanding YMCA balances due will not be accepted. Please pay outstanding balances immediately, or contact our child care administrative team. Failure to pay on time may jeopardize your child’s camp enrollment. Full payment is required for children to attend camp.

Reminders• Please send a healthy lunch with your

child. Our days are filled with great activities, and children need lots of energy to play and grow.

• Refrigeration and microwave cooking are not available.

• The Y provides a healthy morning and afternoon snack. Menus will be posted at each camp.

Scholarship Opportunities• All YMCA camps (except Club Cardinal

Day Camp) accept the Wisconsin Shares Child Care Subsidy.

• Camps licensed at the East and West YMCAs accept City of Madison funding.

• Y scholarships are available to eligible applicants; an application must be approved before registration.

We empower children to learn through play! This program is a great way for your child to bridge the summer learning gap by incorporating music, art and movement. Activities will focus on expressive language development, fine and gross motor skills and play skills. Each week will have a different theme. Must be potty trained; breakfast, lunch and snack provided.

Give your child a true outdoor experience this summer as they explore all that nature has to offer. Rain or shine, campers hike, catch crayfish in our beautiful creek, build forts in their territories in our forest, enjoy s’mores around the campfire and create awesome art projects! Of course we’ll play games, make new friends, learn new skills and work on character development, too. It’s what Y Summer Camp is all about! Campers need to be dropped off and picked up at the Lion’s Club, 7080 Elder Lane, Sun Prairie. If there is severe weather, we will hold camp at Sun Prairie YMCA.

Adventureland JUNE 14-18

Get ready for an adventure as we reunite with old camp friends and make all new ones! This is a fun-filled welcome week where we will start exploring territories, dipping our toes in the creek and playing camp games.

DDC Olympics JUNE 21-25

This week is all about the competition! Groups will compete in activities throughout the week in hopes to take home the GOLD!

Red, White & Blue JUNE 28-JULY 2

Celebrate the USA! This week will be filled with all things red, white and blue! Streamers, flags and hot dogs around the campfire are just some of the fun activities we have planned!

Fear Factor ✺JULY 6-9

Face your fears this week with slimy, gross and creepy challenges. Eat bugs, catch crawfish and touch slimy, gooey, grossness. Challenge yourself to push past your comfort zone!

Splish and splash your way through a week of water fights, creek time, sprinklers and all things wet! Summer is hot, but we’ll keep cool with non-stop water activities. Don’t forget your swimsuit!

Wandering the World JULY 19-23

Ever wanted to visit another country? This is your chance! We will “travel” to different countries and explore the different cultures, arts and recipes. Get your passport ready, and become a world explorer.

Icky Sticky JULY 26-30

Get ready for a wacky week of icky, sticky, silly stuff created by you! Come dressed to get messy. We will make slime, oobleck and anything else ooey gooey and messy!

Check out this great camp created in partnership with Sun Prairie Parks, Recreation and Forestry. Working as wrap-around care during the weeks of summer school and as full-day camp when summer school isn’t in session, we’ll fill our days with projects, activities, games, swimming and weekly field trips. We’ll engage and motivate campers to make new friends, enjoy nature and continue learning throughout the summer. Monday-Thursday drop-off and pick-up during summer school will be at your child’s summer school location and at a location TBD on Fridays and when summer school is not in session. Summer School Aqua AdventuresJUNE 21-25

Join us for an aqua adventure! Summer is hot, so we’ll cool down with water balloons, water challenges, relays and swimming! This will be a week filled with fun in the sun, so come prepared with extra clothes in case you get soaked!

Stars, Stripes and Summer School!JUNE 28-JULY 2

Celebrate America with a red, white and blue filled week. Enjoy patriotic activities like food contests, firework crafts and capture the American flag as we learn more about the USA.

Bring your Olympic Spirit as we learn about the ancient games and participate in new sports. Hear from our counselors about what it takes to have team spirit and be a dedicatedathlete. All week, we’ll train for Friday’s Summer Games where we’ll work as a team to compete and earn medals along the way!

Disney World of Summer SchoolJULY 12-16

Get ready for everything Disney! We’ll share our favorite Disney movies, dress up as our favorite Disney characters and even test our knowledge in Disney trivia.

Summer Superhero SchoolJULY 19-23

Calling all superheroes-in-training! In addition to making our own super suits and logos, we’ll look at what it takes to be an everyday hero.

Around the World in Five DaysJULY 26-30

Open your eyes to cultures around the world. Each day, we’ll focus on a different part of the world and learn what makes it unique. Activities might include exploring the ancient pyramids of Egypt, drawing our own Henna designs and making traditional recipes from foreign cultures.

Go Green!AUGUST 2-6

Get outside, and play in the dirt as we learn how to become environmentally responsible citizens. Make projects using recycled materials, and learn why it is important to take care of the earth. We will surround ourselves with natural beauty to instill respect for the world around us.

Blowing Off STEAMAUGUST 9-13

It’s time to explore Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math. We’ll theorize on how to clean up the oceans, discover the best way to make a paper airplane and learn what it is that makes the world go round.

Super Summer Wrap-UpAUGUST 16-20

Summer 2021 is almost in the books, and we’re ready to end it with a bang! Enjoy the final week of camp by hanging out with friends, celebrating all the good times we had and playing our favorite games. It’s our last blast before we say, “See ya next year!”

Hang onto your hats, and grab a pair of binoculars because It’s about to get wild! Campers will spend the week exploring and learning about different types of animals from around the world!

We’re forecasting an entire summer of fun on the East Side! Our camp becomes a hub of activity, and kids stay active and engaged. Every day, campers rotate through games on our field, creative activity tents, tetherball, the GaGa pit, on-site splash pad, sports and more. We can take regular trips to a nearby park and swim at least once a week at the East Y.
