Herceg Novi is a city born in 1382, at the entrance to the deepest and most beautiful bay of the Mediterranean and the southernmost fjord in Europe, under Orijen, the highest mountain on the Adriatic (1895m.).

WELCOME TO HERCEG NOVI - IGALO

Herceg Novi is located at the entrance of one of the most beautuful bays - Boka Kotorska, immersed into lush vegetation, surrounded by six hundred year old fortress and ramparts.

The city was founded in 1382. and it was know by the name Castrum Novum - Castel Nuovo. Every imperial and mayor power – the Turks, the Venecians, the French, the Russians, the Austro - Hungarians - left significant traces of their civilization in numerous fortifications and in sacral and other constructions: Bloody Tower, the fortress called Spanjola (the Spanish fortress), fortress Mamula and Arza, Monastery Savina, churches: St. Sava, St.Jeronims, St.Leopolod Manic etc. On the territory of the Municipality there are 89 churches: 75 Orthodox and 14 Catholic. That is why Herceg Novi has a treasury of different styles, from oriental to baroque architecture.

Herceg Novi is “a stone picture and master piece of civilization, but it is also a marvelous botanic garden”, town of the etyma greenery, sun and promenades.

Herceg Novi Riviera - is unique oasis of eternal greenery, exotic plants – over the 250 species of various exotic plants, originating from all continents: eucalyptus, agaves, magnolias, araucaria ... and the famous mimosa, whose golden yellow flowers exotic scent became a symbol of Herceg Novi Riviera, and whose glory is in January and February organized in Europe, the famous “mimosa Festival” as part of its program and our fishing “Mimosa Cup”, carnivals, mascenbals, and more other events, becaming a new touristic season.IGALO – is a town in the municipality of

Herceg Novi. The geographical location and amasingly beautiful nature make Igalo and Herceg Novi most attractive locations of Montenegro.

Town Igalo and its immediate neighbor lies on the southwest coast of the Boka Kotorska Bay.

Igalo is known as a touristic destination, thanks to healing- in the sea mud with muddy beaches, a health center of Montenegro tourism.

Centre for Resting, Recreation and Medical treatment – a hotel complex is in Igalo. In the Center there is an equipment for complex medical treatment in the fields of physical medicine, together with the natural factors, have created conditions for healing of some diseases for which Centar “Igalo” had become famous in the whole Europe and worldwide.

In Igalo was held IV EuROPEAN CHAMPIONSHIP BOAT HAND ANGLING in May 2010., and XII WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP BOAT ANGLING - JuNIOR u21 in Oktobre 2012., and will be more than successful for participants of this World Championship.

II. HOW TO GET TO IGALO

1. By road: Along the Adriatic Highway (Jadranska magistrala) from the direction of Trieste, Vienna, Ljubljana, Rijeka, Split and Dubrovnik (Croatian State Route D8) and further south to Igalo . From Tirana (AL) Skadar (AL) ulcinj, Bara, Budve and Tivta, ferry Kamenari - Lepetani you come to Herceg Novi and Igalo.

2. By air: airports: Tivat (23 km), Podgorica (85 km), Ćilipi – Dubrovnik (CRO) (35 km).

3. By sea: Ferry lines Ancona-Dubrovnik (50 km).

III. TRANSFERS

upon duly received request, the Organiser will provide transfers by coach or van from/to the airports of Tivat, Podgorica and Dubrovnik, as well as from/to the Port of Dubrovnik.

IV. INSURANCE

The Organiser undertakes to insure ALL the participants in the Championship against accidents and death, with the relevant state insurance agency, at its own expense.

V. MEDICAL CERTIFICATES AND MEDICAL STAFF

Each national organisation is accountable for the data entered/supplied for their team and shall provide for all the members of the team produce a medical certificate as a proof of their fitness to take part in the competition

In place of individual certificates, accepted will be national team certifications bearing a competent doctor’s stamp, ensure in one of the official languages. of C.I.P.S.

The Organiser will engage a permanent- medical team for the duration of the competition.

Should a national organisation fail to comply with 1 and/or 2 above, the Organiser will commission a medical doctor certified for issuing medical/fitness certificates, at the expense of the competitor(s) or their national organisation.

VI. ANTI-DOPING CONTROL

The Organiser would like to remind all the participants/ competitors that the participation in the Championship implicitly includes the acceptance of ALL the sports anti-doping rules of WADA.

VII. VISAS

No visas are required for visitors granted visas for Eu countries, the u.S.A. or if their country is on the Shengen list, in which case a valid passport is sufficient to produce the border crossing. Visitors from other countries are advised to contact the nearest Montenegrin Consular representative.

VIII. STATE FLAG AND ANTHEM

National organisations are responsible for supplying the Organiser with at least one (preferably two) flag of their country, of the prescribed size, as well as a CD with their national anthem.

IX. MEDALS AND OTHER RECOGNITIONS

The winners will be given medals – gold silver and bronze – by FIPS-M, while the Organiser will offer cups and other commemorative awards.

X. MEANS OF PAYMENT (CURRENCY)

The currency in use is EuRO, but payments could be made in other valid convertible currencies (through exchange in banks or exchange offices for Euro), or by American Express, Master, Diners or Visa cards.

ANGLING SITES

Igalo Bay is part of the famous Gulf of Kotor fjord-with depths ranging from 25 do 100 m in fishing zones. The sea bottom is mostly sandy, rocky places, rich in fish. The temperatura and weather:

• The average annual temperature is 16.2 C, mean the period May-September 25 C. • The average summer temperature of sea water is 22-26 C.• Salinity was 38%. Annual average rainfall - 1930 mm/m3.• Relative humidity - summer: 63%, in winter - up to 80%.• Characteristic winds: breeze (west - blowing in the summer), bora (north - winter), a broad and south (south winds).

HOTEl “VOJVOdINA” - IGAlO

The Vojvodina Hotel is a little above the Pet Danica Promenade in Igalo. Blizina mora (50 m) i hotelski park sa egzotičnim biljem pružaju mogućnost za pravi odmor i uživanje.

The hotel has: single, double, triple and quadruple duplex rooms, a restaurant with 200 seats and a congress hall with 80 seats. All rooms are equipped with air conditioning, TV, cable TV, fridge and Wi-Fi., A part of the room with a terrace overlooking the sea.

Hotel Vojvodina in Igalo offers a unique blend of Mediterranean environment, good food and accommodation facilities, at reasonable prices.

Guests have access to the beach 50m away from the hotel. The proximity of the sea and the hotel park give an opportunity to relax and enjoy. In addition to the hotel beach, along the coast of Herceg Novi, you can enjoy the sun and swimming in the many other beaches and resorts.

At our reception to inform about daily trips to Žanjice, Blue Grotto, The beach Dobreč or Njivice.

Organizer stands available and a special office for accreditation, the Office of the Directorate of the Championships, Press Center with the necessary IT equipment, a covered area for measuring the catch.

Boat dock is 50 meters from the hotel therefore there are no transportation costs, and the port can accommodate hundreds of competitors..
