Determine what gives you passion.

Eight ways to discover your passion:

1 . Slow down when we slow down, we are able to tap into the best version of ourselves. This means practicing yoga, going for daily walks, or setting aside time each day to meditate. Slowing down allows you to quiet the outside voices and listen to yourself.

2. Change your story. If we can identify our self-limiting stories (I’m not good enough;I don’t deserve to be happy, etc.), then we can begin writing new stories that aregrounded in confidence and courage, and map out actions that move us from one toanother.

3. Own your uniqueness. We are here for a reason. No one else has your unique blendof talents, wisdom, strength, skills and creativity.

4. Cultivate confidence, if we are continually telling ourselves we can’t, then we willnever believe we can.

5. Find the themes, recognizing the recurring themes in our lives creates a pattern forus to either follow or change. What themes or lessons seem to constantly surface inyour life?

6. Write ideas flow more freely when we write without an agenda. New inspiration mayappear unexpectedly and it becomes easier to connect the dots.

7. Focus on the fun, sometimes we get wrapped up in the expectations we set forourselves. We focus on the details and the to-do lists instead of what is important. What do you love to do? If money were limitless, what would you be doing today?

8. Push past fear, it’s so alluring to tell ourselves that we’ll go after what we want whenwe have more experience, more money, or more time, but the truth is, that will neverhappen. We must identify these excuses as masks for our fear. It’s only when we getclear on our fears and recognize how they are holding us back that we can moveforward.

Create a vision board.Create a vision board.Creating a sacred space that displays what you want actually does bring it to life. What we focus on expands. When we create a vision board and place it in a space where you see it often, you essentially end up doing short visualization exercises throughout the day. The purpose of your vision board is to bring everything on it to life. Your vision board helps you identify your vision and give it clarity, as well as keep your attention on your intentions,

Think about what your goals are in the following areas: relationships, career and finances, home, travel, personal growth (including spirituality, social life, education) and health. The big secret to creating a vision board that works is it should focus on how you feel, not just on things you want.

An affirmation is, simply, positive self-talk. It’s a statement about yourself or your situation phrased in the present tense as if the statement is already true. Affirmations work to help us change. One method to start creating very personal affirmations is to identify your negative self-talk and beliefs. Create affirmations out of those beliefs. Begin using the new affirmations, and see the “magic” gradually unfold.

Positive affirmations are critical to positive thinking! Positive thinking is essential for joy and happiness. Keep in mind as you choose those that resonate in YOUR spirit that for an affirmative to be effective, it needs to be present tense, positive, personal and specific.

Create positive armations that resonate in your spirit.

Take a class or attend a lecture series.Become a life-long learner. Learning something new or getting educated in a different field of study stimulates the mind and motivates new thinking. New learning inspires and empowers you to gain the confidence to try new things. Knowledge is Power.

Networking is a supportive system of sharing information and services among individuals and groups having a common interest. The act of making contact and exchanging information with other people, groups and institutions to develop mutually beneficial relationships. Networking is based on the question, “How can I help, and not “What can I get”?

While a great resume and cover letter are still essential to landing your dream job, networking with a large diverse group of people can help you find the openings you are looking for much more quickly.

Join a networking group.

This means a particular way of thinking. The established set of attitudes held by someone. It’s a collection of your thoughts and beliefs that shape your thought habits. Your thought habits affect how you think, what you feel, and what you do. Your mindset impacts how you make sense of the world, and how you make sense of you.

Change your mindset.

A challenge can bring out the best in people by helping them grow. All of us are immersed in change. It is empowering to realize that we are all living in a constant state of flux and that this is a normal process of life. When you understand that the only constancy in our lives is change, you can let go of the need for control, and allow life to flow.

Let go of feeling like you aren’t making progress fast enough. No matter how many mistakes you make or how slow your progress, you are still way ahead of everyone who isn’t trying. Choose to let each of your experiences today be a gateway to an even brighter tomorrow.

Expand your border. Challenge yourself.

Each moment describes who you are, and gives you the opportunity to decide if that’s who you want to be. Life is a journey, a becoming, a growing, a process. There are no mistakes, only different varieties of ways to experience life and remember more of who we are. We make choices based on our past, our belief systems, our values, and perhaps even the collective consciousness that’s engrained in our DNA.

We always choose what we believe as the best possible choice in any given situation. Instead of directing energy toward the past by berating ourselves up over “mistakes”, why not ask, “What is the lesson? What can be learned from this experience?”

Don’t allow people to box you in based on their limited beliefs of themselves.
