Trends

Compare trends across any components

Enhancements have been made to the Trends module of Trakka®, that allow users to compare trends across any component within the application. Previously, it was only possible to show trend lines on a chart for components attached to the same asset. That limitation has been removed and it is now possible to show trend lines for any component within the asset hierarchy.

This new feature is accessed through the Compare sub panel within the Trends docking panel

The Compare tab functionality within the Trends module, has been expanded to allow the selection of any component within the application, so trend lines can be displayed. To show trends for multiple components use the following steps;

• Within the Trends tab, click on the Compare sub panel

• In the Components list, all components attached to the current asset will be listed by default, use the checkbox to select them for trending

• To choose additional components, select the Choose Components button (see below)

• Use the selection screen to add/remove components from the Components list

• Use the checkboxes in the Components and Indicator lists, to control which trend lines are displayed on the Trend chart.

• As Components and Indicators are selected on the Compare sub panel, they will appear on the trend charts and in the chart legend. Each legend entry will contact the Indicator name and Component for identification.

• As with regular Trends, the trendlines can be controlled using the Y Axis sub panel. Here you can switch the display axis and turn On/Off any of the lines. The actively selected component will always appear at the top of the list and all comparison components will appear below

Quickly add Indicators to current trend view

Another feature added to the Trends module is the ability to quickly add new Indicators to the current Trend view. Standard Trend Views are still used in the same way, however if a user needs to quickly add another Indicator to the view during the current session, this can now be accomplished without editing the saved views

Adding Indicators to a Trend view “on the fly” can be accomplished using the Compare tab. Simply use the Indicators list to turn On/Off additional indicators that need to be added to the view.

These added indicators will remain On for the remainder of the current Trakka site session, unless turned Off in the Compare sub panel.

Component Profiles

Add Observation Intervals for any Observation Type Enhancements have been made to Component Profiles that allow Observation Intervals to be stored for all Observation Types. This capability allows for users to monitor the compliance of collection condition monitoring observations for all data types. The Component Profile Detail form has been modified to include a new Condition Monitoring tab (below). This tab allows the entry of Observation Intervals for all Observation Types being collected for that component. Add new records to the grid as needed.

Import Observation Intervals for Component Profiles A new Import option has been added to Site Administration > Imports, so Observation Intervals can be imported and linked to Component Profiles. This CSV Import accepts records with the following fields;

• Component Profile

• Observation Type (this must exist for the site)

• Observation Interval

• Interval Unit

• Observation Method

Overdue Observations Chart/Report changes on Web Dashboard The Overdue Observations chart and report on the Trakka Web Dashboard now include all Observation types. In the tabular report a filter has been added for Observation Type. By default it shows all Observation Types

Display Observation Intervals in the Summary Tab A new Card has been added to the Summary tab to display the Observation Intervals. This Card is right after the Component Profile card and will list all Observation Intervals recorded for the selected component.

Action Tracking

Action Priority field now Editable

The Action Priority field can now be edited by a user. If a user needs to change the Priority of an Action for any reason, it can now be edited in any of these locations.

1. Any of the three Action Modules (Recommended, Accepted, Completed)

Since each record in these modules represents all Actions created on a Review, any edits made to the Action Priority, will edit the Action Priority for all linked Actions. By looking at the Count of Actions field, it is possible to how many Actions will be affected by any changes. Be sure to Save Changes after editing in these grids.

2. The Action Tab (Docking Panel)

Each row in the Actions tab can have the Action Priority modified if you place the grid in Edit mode, by selecting the Edit Button (above). This allows you to edit Actions individually.

3. The Action Detail Form – accessed when double clicking an action from the modules above or the Actions Tab

Here it is possible to change the Action Priority for Actions individually if required Any changes that are made to the Action Priority field, are recorded in a new System Generated Information field, for logging purposes. It records the user and change that was made to the Action Priority. This field is available on the Actions Tab and in the Action Detail form

Preferences – Condition Management

Reset Component Condition Rating after Actions are Closed A new Site Preference has been added, that allows Component Condition to be Reset under certain conditions. This new option can be found under the Reset Component Condition Ratings section of Site Preferences (Tools > Preferences) The first option (Manually reset component condition) is the default preference and is always available to a user. This requires a new Review to be created to reset Component condition for each Observation Type

The new preference should be selected by sites who want to automatically reset the assigned condition for an observation type, when the following conditions are met;

• Condition of the component is currently Warning or Critical

• An Action is being closed and it is the only remaining Open (Recommended, Accepted, Completed) action for this Component/Observation Type

• The linked Review for this action, was not based on an observation that had indicator values assigned to the component (Review was from a related component or the observation only contained notes/images and no data)

• No new Observation data (for that Observation Type) has been received since the most recent Review. There is no current observation data sitting in an Inbox for this component and observation type.

For example, an action is created on an Engine due to abnormal telemetry data (VIMS, VHMS etc) that is stored on another Trakka component. The corrective work is performed, and the Action is Closed. If no new observation data (for the Onboard Monitoring Observation Type) has been received on that Engine since the last Review, the condition of the Engine would be reset to Normal for the Onboard Monitoring Observation Type If a Reset Event occurs, Trakka will automatically create a new Review with a Review Source = Reset Events. These can be found in Inbox > Completed Reviews

These Reset Event Reviews contain some standard text, explaining why they were created

Drag and Drop

Drag and Drop added for Events

The Drag and Drop functionality has been extended to Component Events. It is now possible to drag a document into the Events tab and it will perform the following function.

• If a document is dragged onto an existing Event in the Events tab, it will automatically attempt to add the document to that Event.

o Caution: - Since an Event can only be linked to one Document, the new Document will replace any existing Documents linked to the Event

• If a document is dragged onto an empty Events tab, it will automatically create a new Event and the user will be asked to fill in all the required fields.

Standard Actions

Standard Action field is localized The Standard Action field is now localized, allowing both English and Spanish translations of the Action text to be recorded. This allows a data analyst to select the Standard Action in their native language and have it appear to an end user in their language (eg an English speaker can add an Action in his/her native language, but for a Spanish user to see and receive it in their language). There are now two Action fields on the Standard Action Detail form to complete for

Standard Action Field Length Increased The field length of the Standard Action field has been increased to 200 characters
