ISIS Application – Scans pages using an ISIS driver– Built using the PixTools Toolkits– Should not be changed for ISIS Citrix
support– Oblivious that ISIS driver supports Citrix
ISIS Driver– ISIS drivers works with one or multiple
scanners– Citrix support is built-into ISIS driver– Newer ISIS drivers supporting ISIS
networking supports Citrix
STI Driver– Allows hardware connection to O/S– Required for USB and Firewire scanners,
optional for SCSI scanners

Usage Scenarios
Installation– ISIS driver needs to be installed in both
server and client– Depending on scanner’s interface, a low-
level STI driver needs to be installed on the client machine
– Scanners with USB and Firewire interface requires the STI driver
– Some SCSI scanners may require the STI driver
ISIS Driver Configuration– ISIS driver automatically detects the Citrix
environment– ISIS driver automatically connects to the
Citrix client
ISIS Driver Settings– Settings can be modified through the ISIS
application– The ISIS User Interface (UI) is accessed in
the application running on the Citrix client
