LoversWe should always be nice to people so they will know we are Christians?

Is that our ministry?

“Wow” they are such nice people I bet they are Christians!

“There needs to be much more to our Faith than being nice friendly, polite and kind!

Many Christians aren’t as nice as our Non-Christian friends!

Luke 6:32-33

32: If you love those who love you, what credit is that to you? For even sinners love those who love them. 33: If you do good to those who do good to you, what credit is that to you? For even sinners do the same.

Luke 6:34 

34: If you lend to those from whom you expect to receive, what credit is that to you? Even sinners lend to sinners in order to receive back the same amount.

Luke 6:35-36 35: But love your enemies, and do good, and lend, expecting nothing in return; and your reward will be great, and you will be sons of the Most High; for He Himself is kind to ungrateful and evil men.  36: Be merciful, just as your Father is merciful.

He is kind and merciful to us!

That’s Crazy Love!

And it’s found “only”

Through Christ !

We are commanded to Love our Enemies!

Who are your enemies?

Or who are the People you avoid or who are the people that avoid you?

Who are the people that have hurt you?

Or, your family, children or friends?

Are you willing to do good to them and reach out to them?

That is exactly what Christ asks us to do!

Was it me?

Did you ever go out to lunch or to dinner with someone, maybe a (Christian) you didn’t like to be around just to try to be obedient to God?

12: Then Jesus said to his host, "When you give a luncheon or dinner, do not invite your friends, your brothers or relatives, or your rich neighbors; if you do, they may invite you back and so you will be repaid.

13: But when you give a banquet, invite the poor, the crippled, the lame, the blind,

14: and you will be blessed. Although they cannot repay you, you will be repaid at the resurrection of the righteous."

•Do you give to those who can’t repay you?

•To those who would do you harm if they could?

•To those who have already done you harm?

This is Christ’s Love for us!

• The Love for equals is a human thing!

• Everyone can Love those who Love!

• Friend for friend!

• Brother for Brother!

How about the less fortunate?

Can you love them the same way?

They are more capable of complete Surrender to Christ!

Crazy OnesSometimes I feel when I make decisions that are remotely biblical, people who call themselves Christians are the first to criticize and say I’m crazy, that I’m taking the Bible too literally, or that I’m not thinking about my family’s well being.

God doesn’t just ask us to give to those in need, he asks us to love them as much as we love ourselves!
