To be considered for the role of Resident Assistant you will need to complete and submit the following documents: Curriculum Vitae: If you need help with your CV, please log into MyCareerHub and make an appointment with a Careers Adviser, they will help and advise you on how to create a CV for the Residential Assistant vacancy. Event Proposal Form: We’d like you to develop a draft plan for an event that you think will engage the students who live in BU accommodation in presentation format (7-8 mins) for groups and word format (to be talked through) for individuals - see page 2 of this document for details. Please submit your application documents by email to [email protected] with ‘Resident Assistant | Application in the subject line or with “Group Name”. Please Note: If you are interviewing in groups (2-6), read carefully the ‘Event Proposal Form’ as this will need to be presented in PowerPoint format (7-8 Minutes) as appose to a single document required for those applying alone. What happens next?

All applications will be reviewed by a panel of BU staff. If you are shortlisted, we will inform you via email at any point from the time of application to be invited for interview.

Plan an EventCreate and plan an event that you think will engage the students who live in BU accommodation. Don’t go for the obvious smaller activities, e.g. games nights, laser quest etc. We’re looking for innovative and inclusive events not activities, and you can be as creative as you like.

Please Note: If you are interviewing in groups (2-6) this will need to be presented in PowerPoint format (7-8 Minutes) as appose to a single document (see below), required for those applying alone. However, to apply for the role the below document is all that is required along with each members C.V and the presentation will need to be prepared for the interview if successful.
