How do you know how many credits each class is worth?
9th Grade is different than 10th -12th Grade
Indian Hills Credits
• Everyday Classes = ½ credit per trimester
• A/B day classes = ¼ credit per trimester
Alta High School Credits
• Full year classes = One credit
• Semester classes = ½ credit
Four-Year Plan Online
• Required classes are selected already, but may be changed to match your course pathway
Example: If you are/will take Computer Tech in 9th grade you don’t take it in 10th grade
Four-Year Plan Online
• Electives can be almost any class available, but don’t forget to take your Fine Arts and CTE credits
• Math & Science classes follow a progression including different options in high school

1st Step: Select “High School Years” next to which years you would like to plan2nd Step: Select “Four-Year Plan” next to Pathway3rd Step: Select “Add to Course Plan”
Make sure the boxes for 9th, 10th, 11th, and 12th grades are marked.
Highlight “ADD” and click “OK”
Each of your 9th grade years should have these classes entered now.
Let’s make the changes to reflect your current schedule!
Click the + sign next to the course and select the appropriate class if yours is different than what is already there.
Ex. If you are in Honors Language Arts change Language Arts 9 to Language Arts 9H

Possible Elective Changes
• A/B Day Classes: Drawing, Choir, Band, Beginning Theater, Orchestra, Woods, Exploring Tech, Foreign Languages, Study Skills, Released Time
• Trimester Classes: Foods, Clothing, Computer Tech, Ceramics, Peer Tutoring, TA
• Note: Released Time offers no credit
• 9th Graders: Edit your 9th grade courses to match your current schedule
• 8th Graders: Edit your 9th grade courses to reflect what you’ll sign up for next year
Now Let’s move on to 10th grade
10th- 12th Grade
• You must have 8 credits per year
• Any combination of full year and semester classes will do
• Remember: Full Year = One Credit Semester = ½ Credit Released Time = No
Credit
• “Elective Full Year” may be one full year elective class or two semester elective classes
• Driver’s Ed is not required, but most students take it. If you will take driver’s ed in the summer or privately this may be changed to a different class
• If you have Computer Tech in 9th grade you may take a different elective in 10th grade
