Employers have a legal responsibility to ensure a WH&S rep. is established.

Employers are then responsible for informing other workers of the WH&S rep., and encouraging cooperation and responding within 30 days of the WH&S recommendations.

The employer is required to provide and pay for OH&S certification training for WH&S reps.
