Before starting we recommendthe following:

Use Adobe InDesign or Adobe Illustrator to create artwork

Embed or Outline any fonts in your artwork to avoid issues

All images to be set at 300dpi

Avoid trying to UV Varnish over intricate hairlines

Try not to UV Varnish over small text, nothing below 10pt

Step 1:We require your business card to be set at the following size85 x 55mm and add 3mm “bleed”edge to all sides (this will be cuto� in production but ensures anybackground colour is printed rightto the edge of the card)

Once happy, the artwork whichis to be printed now requiresyou to create the spot uv partof the card.

Step 2:When supplying Spot UV Cardsto FullColourCards we needyour PDF to contain 4 pages.

Page 1 (front) & Page 2 (back) are to be the artwork you want us to print onto the card itself.

Page 3 (spot uv for front) & Page 4(spot uv for back) are to be theparts of the printed artwork youwant to highlight with UV Varnish,

Step 3:When creating your spot uv artworks please ensure they exactly align with wording or images that is being printed.

We require the UV artwork to beset in 100% Black (k). When creatingthe artwork please check that thereare no other colour values in theUV sections.

Step 4:Once the artwork is set upit’s time to export it as a PDF.

Please ensure when you exportyour file as PDF you select“Crop Marks” and“Use Document Bleed Settings”.

Step 5:The next step is visitwww.fullcolourcards.comand order some spot uv business cards. Printed on400gsm board, matt laminatedto both sides then UV varnishadded to the required areas togive an impressive result.
