Concept

• My design inspiration for the Sit+ Store Furniture is based upon the idea of serial planes. A pattern

repeated a series of times, or through graduation. This is then developed to create a volume of space in

which one can transform and occupy as an object.

• The SIT+ STORE design consists of three main repeated parts connected like a jigsaw puzzle to create 3

modifications

Shelf Bench Coffee Table

Construction

• 3 curved pieces which are connected together by two rotated parts that clip together to form the

structure of the Sit +Store Furniture a further 6 pieces Connect together to create the back rest

and seat of the bench. The design is created without no screws or hinges to make for simple

construction. With very few parts it is easy to assemble and De-assemble when using the

different configurations.

• To make this a sustainable solution for any household or design solution. It has been created in

a way that it is easy to manufacture and replace parts of the piece should it experience damage

through wear and tear/ any other mishaps.

Available in a variety of colours

• The body of the SIT+STORE solution is made from Birch Plywood, it is easy to source, very

versatile and a great capacity to be manipulated without it changing form. There is also an

option to have the plywood treated so that you also can get a veneer surface which you can

change the colour of the furniture from the natural wood to suit every interior design solutions.

• The Felt Back covers, are an added optional accessory which can be used for furniture in

bench mode and possible Coffee table configuration. Felt is a relatively easily obtained

material that can be an alternative to having seat cushions. It also provides comfort while

adding to the overall aesthetics of the furniture.
