A company partner and creative director who wears (too) many hats, is a seasoned multitasker, enjoys working enjoys working with young people, and is the kind of boss who actually cares.

Attract, assess, hire, cultivate, and train young new talent -- with less stress and uncertainty!

Duncan wishes he had more success in hiring young people and more time to put towards a training program, but as-is, the process of acquiring new of acquiring new talent is really unpredictable.

think feelI don’t know what I am going to get when I hire someone transitioning into the workforce from school.

I wish there could be a period before “permanent hire” where I could pay a candidate while trying out whether they are going to be a long-term fit.

I wish we had a training program I wish we had a training program that provided more hands-on time for new hires, and I enjoy teaching!

I wish potential new hires knew that everyone at our company deals with mundane tasks on a day-to-day basis, and was willing to take part.

I wish I were better at hiring people I wish I were better at hiring people for non-talent related jobs (e.g. musicians).

I worry at every step of the process about whether a new hire will work out, and it can take a long time after they’ve been working for me until I feel secure that I made the right call.

I regret not having more time to I regret not having more time to spend training new hires. I feel guilty that they aren’t learning more on the job in a well-thought-out way.

I’m frustrated that some new hires I’m frustrated that some new hires aren’t prepared for the everyday realities of the job and expect the music industry to be glamorous.

I’m excited by new hires who bring in creativity and ideas of new ways to solve old problems.
