Materials:- Nymo Beading Thread- Beading Needle - E6000- Rhinestone Chain - Half Cut Pearls - 11/0 Short Hex Cut Beads- 11/0 Round Crystal Beads - 11/0 Opaque White Pearls- Ribbon - Cloth for the Backing Procedure:1) Measure a length you want for your headband. This one is about 8” x 3”. You will trim the width later so don’t worry about making it too wide 2) Then you’re going to cut it into a rectangle 3) Use the E6000 glue to draw a wavy zig zag pattern on the felt. Make it as uniform or organic as you want. GET CREATIVE! 4) Place the rhinestone chain onto the flue pattern with flat side down. Cut the excess chain off. Make sure your chain is glued. This will be your focal point and will be what you are beading around later. 5) With a threaded beading needle, you are going to come up from the back right next to the rhinestone chain. Leave a tail Thread 3 of the opaque white pearls and place up against the chain. You are going to push your needle to the back side again through the felt at the end point of the pearls. 6) Flip your piece over and tie the tail you left at the remaining thread together into a knot. Trim excess of the tail end. 7) Thread back through the center of the beads and then go through the center of the remaining beads. 8) In this case, go back up between beads 2 & 3. Then thread your needle through bead 3 and out. 9) You will continue to bead embroider along the rhinestone chain. I recommend using between 2-8 beads at a time otherwise it may be unstable. Here is a better detail of a bead embroidery stitch. I used 6 beads, stitched down, came up between beads 3&4, and then threaded through beads 4-6. 10) Once you are finished bead embroidering both sides of the rhinestone chain, you need to thread back through some of your stitching until you are next to one of the flat back pearls. Our thread is right by where my needle is pointing. 11) You are going to use the clear round beads to bead embroider an outline around the pearl. I recommend 4 beads at a time but do what is comfortable for you.12) Next you will use the hex cut bead to make a starburst pattern around the outline we just made. Use 1 hex bead at a time. 13) You will need to go back through some of the stitching you have already done and do the same thing to all of the pearls.14) This is what you should end up with once you have finished this step15) You will need to carefully cut out your design. Leave only a beads width left over so that when you put the final row it will not show. Be careful you do not damage any stitching or cut your thread and needle off. You will have to go back and fix any damage. Using smaller scissors may make it easier to cut edges and corners. 16) After fixing any areas that need fixing. With the round crystal beads, bead embroider one row along the edge you cut all the way around the design. It should look like the image above. 17) Cut ribbon to any length you desire. Make sure it is long enough for your purpose. It can be a headband
