We run it connected to a Redhat Enterprise 6 machine, with several hardware RAID6s (14+2 drive setup for each) provided by the Areca ARC-1882X controller. On top of the hardware RAIDs we run XFS filesystems. The filesystems are now about 50% full, performance is very good and we did not have a single drive problem since the system was deployed about 6 month ago.”
