It may not be surprising to know that more than 50% of workers today are unsatisfied with their jobs; but for the most part, people aren’t thinking of leaving either. No matter how toxic the environment, people will risk health issues before they take measures to leave the job they hate. Why is this? Studies show that most people will stay in a job they hate because they don’t believe they’d do better with a different one. But this may be an excuse for the more common reasons why people stay. The five most common reasons people stay at a job they hate is lack of job opportunities, under-skilled, resistant to change, the seniority complex, and fear.
